"The Old Rectory provides several sitting rooms in which you can relax and read or chat with others. This is a very nice amenity, particularly if your travel companion wants to sleep while you are up or vice versa. Our room was comfortable, if a little tight, and very clean. Staff members were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and well prepared, One issue is that The Old Rectory is not actually in Shrewsbury. It is 10 miles away from Shrewsbury in the very small town of Wem....

"Driving up to this hotel it definitely had the wow factor. Reception staff were very polite and welcoming, and provided a very high level of customer service. The room itself was beautiful very large, clean and the bed was so comfortable. Evening meal was beautiful and so was breakfast. The only downfall is that this was a short overnight stay. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning "

"Loved our stay at here, staff were very welcoming and helpful and patient with our young Vizsla dog. Ideal set up for staying with a dog, with rooms located opposite site of the car park to the cosy pub. Food was excellent. Definitely would come and stay here again. "

It was ideally situated for touring around the area, and even though the apartment was in the town, it was quiet and only a few minutes walk to shops and eating places.
