We checked in and were immediately surprised at how dated and inelegant it was. We decided to keep an open mind and waited for our room to be prepared, but when we were shown to our room, it was tiny with barely any room for anything but the futons in the middle of the floor. There was mold everywhere and an enormous spider in the closet of a bathroom from the moment we arrived (so house keeping must not have bothered even looking in there). The âprivate onsenâ is just a bathtub on the balcony, which is in complete disrepair.
We explained our concerns to the staff and ultimately stayed less than an hour- we requested reimbursement for at least the second of the two nights we booked, particularly since we booked last minute only hours before arriving, so we knew we werenât taking up a reservation for a room they would have otherwise been able to book someone else in. Expedia was unable to reach them have sent two emails any have gotten no response. This hotel looks nothing like the photos and the conditions are unacceptable.
