"The room was large. Front staff and breakfast staff were very friendly. Fantastic breakfast options. Fresh made to order hot breakfast. Heads above any breakfast included hotels in North America. Located at the edge of town but the seaside walk into town was great. Nearby restaurant Tides was not worth a revisit."

"The rooms where very nice, I would be careful if you don't do stairs. There are plenty, even in the bathroom. We did enjoy the complimentary breakfast and dinner. The town did not have a lot of dinner options. Very close to Nothern Ireland attractions."

Situated on the cliff top above the North Atlantic, the 18th Century mansion at Downhill would have once been a magnificent home. It still is a beautiful sight but much of the building was destroyed by fire in the 1850s and fell further into disrepair after the Second World War.
