"Beautiful clean room (Room 4) with lovely comfy beds, additional things such as blankets, soap, shampoo etc and very attentive staff ( actually the owners ). High quality tea and coffee plus biscuits in the room and to top it all an excellent breakfast the next day. Thank you for a wonderful stay in this delightful boutique bead and breakfast close to all amenities. "

"Staff was very friendly. Only 1 picnic table to sit at outside, the grass hadn’t been cut at all, no one used it. Room very basic, no tissues, facecloth, microwave or fridge. T.V. only had a few channels and the volume wouldn’t go past 15. If window is open it was hard to hear. Grocery store about 10 minute walk, ocean about 20 minutes."

"Room had mould and not very clean. Paid for bed and breakfast but we had to leave early and they couldn’t provide breakfast, again tried to charge us again on the way out. Music was blasting all night and got no sleep. "

"We stayed in Willow, the staff were so lovely and attentive! They work so hard to make everything nice for you . The balcony was lovely this morning. We did the walk around the nature reserve and boat trip was great! Pete the captain was so nice and very knowledgable. We had the best time and Will definitely come back soon . "We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this almost 8 century old hotel with Alice in Wonderland maze of hallways, tilted floors and lichen/moss encrusted roof tiles. Location is perfect, rooms quiet/clean, beds comfortable, staff kind and welcoming. "

"Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens. Highly recommended."

"This property is perfectly located in the centre of Canterbury and extremely well priced. You are within walking distance of everything you want to visit. The rooms are small but adequate for a short stay. My only gripe is the low pressure on the shower. The breakfast was fine and certainly set us up for the day. Sanjeewa the host is a real pleasure. He was always available and was constantly checking that everything was okay. He is worked to the bone and is a real gem for the property owners. "

"the hotel itself was great, staff were very helpful. They could do with installing double glazing in the building however, as it got quite noisy early in the morning given how close traffic / heavy lorries pass to the hotel. We were in the top floor, but were still woken up by it early doors!"

The hosts are quite knowledgeable about the area, with wonderful suggestions on both sights and food. Check in and out could not be easier. And it’s a quick walk from Canterbury West Station."

"A clean and comfortable room with all we needed. Parking was convenient and staff were friendly and helpful. Also helpful having a restaurant on-site and it was just a short walk to the cathedral and other sites."
