Lizard
Location of hotel was nice although when they state parking it does not mention a free for all with all the tourists in the area. Tom was Comfortable except the door to the room does not fit correctly resulting in having to force shut to which leaves an approximate 50mm gap at bottom. I had to use pillows to block out noise. Evening meal was supposed to start at 1700hrs this did not actually start until 1730hrs. Ordered pot pie with chips and peas. I was kept waiting for nearly an hour before it arrived. When asking for a Vat receipt this proved a bit up much for the staff to which I still gave not received one. All in all I will not be staying again.

Best Hotel on the Lizard.
Clean and tidy with nice furnishings. And nice and friendly staff. Even had a live band in the bar on Saturday night which played us music to fall asleep too. Would 100% stay again at this hotel.

Our 2 night stay
Room was clean. Bathroom door swollen so could only slam shut, which was felt rude doing at in the middle of the night. Shower drain blocked up. Sheets and room were clean, breakfast was high quality. Staff friendly. Location excellent. 8/10 Cheaper to book breakfast on the day than with the room. Check-out time differs on hotels.com compared to guest information book at accommodation which was confusing (10am).

Good stay but noisy neighbours!
A friendly local pub with good service, nice food and comfortable rooms. Sadly we stayed in a ground floor room and had noisy people upstairs, not the pubs fault but frustrating and hard to sleep until late.

Short break away
Sadly only stayed one night - wish it could have been longer! Beautiful room with fantastic view. Delicious breakfast & excellent evening meal.

Great location, lovely atmosphere and the staff were very polite and helpful. The room was, clean nicely presented and the bed was comfortable. We paid extra, for breakfast and we were not disappointed, good selection, freshly prepared and tasty.

A great place to stay in Lizard village. Friendly staff, a clean spacious room and the option to enjoy a lovely breakfast. Good location for visiting Lizard Point which is a 10-12 minute walk away.

Left waiting in the cold to check-in
The check-in was very slow. We arrived at 20:30 after a long day of cycling, only to be left waiting outside with our bikes in the cold for over 20 minutes. I prompted the bar staff three times before someone came outside to check us in. After the very poor check-in, the staff were very accommodating to the point of being apologetic.

Wonderful stay. Staff were so friendly nothing was too much trouble Room lovely and spacious. Bathroom adequate but needs some attention. Food was fantastic

What a great place to stay.
The superior room we stayed in was clean, spacious and had an absolutely awesome sea view. The staff were both very friendly and courteous/professional at the same time. The food was of an exceptionally high standard. We had popped in before and been impressed but hadn’t stayed. We’re very glad we returned. I highly recommend this inn for anyone especially if you like seaside/beach/cliff top walks.

Lovely hotel, good food, friendly service
Really lovely hotel. Room was pleasant, modern and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel too and all the food was really good, surpassed my expectations and reasonably priced. There was an open mic night later in the evening which my husband enjoyed, it didn’t interrupt our sleep upstairs. Ideal location for exploring the Lizard. It’s good to be supporting a hotel in Cornwall rather than Airbnbs/holiday cottages which reduce housing stock from local people.

We had a weekend break with two friends and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel and bar were clean, full of character and the bedroom well decorated and freshly painted. We dined there Saturday evening plus breakfasts the next morning and found the food very tasty. We will definitely be returning for another stay The Top House Inn.
