"The ATLANTIC Hotel was exactly what I was looking for! An upscale hotel near the Heidelberg Main Train Station, which had a cafe and an excellent restaurant. I was worried about train noise, but never heard a thing. It was like watching a silent movie. The Local Bus Stop was a few hundred feet from the hotel entrance, behind the tourist information building. The tourist office even sells tickets to Heidelberg Castle and the Funicular to get up and back. Very convenient! Took the bus to the University Plaza and the Funicular was at the end of the street. Decided to take an Uber back to hotel for less than $10. The Atlantic Hotel is basically a 5 star hotel with a 3 star price. "

"Hotel Montpi is a little gem, with fabulous ladies running it. A bit dated but clean and comfortable: our room on the second floor at the back had a great view, and away from traffic noise. Breakfast was very good, with fresh cooked eggs on request. The service was really personal and caring, with Janine waiting to book us in on arrival, then guests are on their own until the morning. Location was excellent: 5 mins walk and you're in the old town, with a bus stop almost outside to go further afield. The no 20 goes to the station. We enjoyed staying here."
