"We upgraded to a room in the Rainbow Tower specifically for the view, and it did not disappoint. The room had a beautiful view of Waikiki Beach, and we were able to watch the Friday night fireworks directly from our balcony, which was a great experience. The location of the resort is excellent. It is very close to the beach, with easy access to the pool area, and centrally located near many shops and restaurants in Waikiki. The staff throughout the property were pleasant and helpful, and despite the size of the resort, noise levels were minimal. The room itself was decent but showed some minor wear. The bathroom doorknob was coming apart, which suggested that some maintenance could be improved. Food options within the resort were somewhat limited, and the quality was average overall. Overall, it’s a well-located resort with great views and convenient beach access, though the rooms and food could use some improvement."

"Was put in room 211. They must be renovating, as the shower looked old. Nice having a small fridge in the room, a microwave would have been appreciated. Not worth the price, only stayed one night, resort fee seems excessive. Will stay elsewhere on next visit to Kona."

"Property looks good. My room however was not cleaned well, bathroom amd the side table in the room were always dirty, no change of sheets- they would just lay it again but no change of sheets. Place where to pick breakfast is way too small as so many people would come at once- seating area was big though. Also breakfast time should be extended say like from 6.30- 10.30am since some of us when on vacation would prefer a late breakfast jist to sleep in and rest..hope this is considered. Loved the pool and the area, always clean."

"The ocean and mountains were visible from the room. The lanai was wonderful to have. Note: the resort is older and small details reveal the age, like popcorn ceilings and maybe peeling veneer on random furniture. Staff and charm and history outweigh these asthetic concerns. It is a beautiful, welcoming resort!"

"The partial ocean view room had a great view. I think it's a little expensive for what it is though. I'll try a Hilton next time. "

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were super nice, food + drinks were really good. For the price, you can’t beat the location. We also really liked the 24 hour fitness spot, it had a decent amount of machines and being 24 hours was a plus. The hotel was also very clean. We will absolutely be staying here again as we visit Waikiki every year, "
