"
Awesome resort! Restaurants were great too. Rooms were clean with nice views. Pools and amenities were exceptional. The beach was wonderful, lots of activities if you choose. Entire staff was helpful, Khem, Sley, Love, Fortune, David... too many to mention, all great. Excellent location for relaxation and peace and quiet. Atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. Good value."
"Amazing staff, great food, so relaxing and peaceful!!
Pool is beautiful and views/beach are stunning. Coffee shop is perfect, good breakfast. Lunch/dinner lots of options, even for the 4 nights we stayed. Grace at the front desk recommended a car for a day to venture out, she set it up to deliver to the hotel and it was great! Recommend the ice cream shop and a across the bridge to middle Caicos!
Really everything you need in a one stop shop to have peace. Short walk to a small convenience store where you can get bottled water and snacks. No liquor store within walking distance, but plenty of options at the hotel bar!
Not a lot of other visitors given the small amount of rooms.. exactly what we were looking for! Rooms cozy and very clean. Property well taken care of, rooms cleaned daily. AC worked great too, LOL!
We will be back to enjoy this property again! "
Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, South Caicos
8/10 Good
"Overall excellent but expensive.
This resort has newly refurbished buildings and otherwise all new grounds and pools redone/built about one year ago. The rooms are very nice and everything is new at the resort.
It is in a remote location, understated, and expensive.
The mostly American guests seem like country club set affluent and understated.
It is nice to be on South Caicos which away from the crowds and feels like old school Turks before it got built up.
The turtles still feed near the beach and the diving has eagle rays that you won't see near Providenciales. The snorkling at Admiral Cockburn park in the aquarium is really top quality snorkling. Whales can be seen and there are whale watching trips.
We took a small connecting flight from Providenciales and there was a lot of time waiting between flights but others said they took a two hour boat and it was nice so not sure what is best for getting there.
The resort food and restaurant operations were great.
They could use a US country club type general manager to be the face of the resort and to direct the non restaurant staff.
They could also use a landscaper from Vero Beach Florida to fill the grounds with flowers. The landscaping was more desert like.
I would go here if you want peace and a high class and subdued crowd and families. This isn't a late night party place or a place for people on a budget because a $1000 dinner is easy to do at Brine for example.
