"The hotel comprises a lovely old main house, to which a large block of more functional 70s/80s rooms are attached. The room was clean and well equipped, although a little dated. The staff were friendly and welcoming although we did have to wait a bit for someone to appear when we checked in around 7pm. Breakfast was very good, with food cooked to order and presented well. A great location for the village, canal and access for great walking in the hills. Would stay again and recommend."

"Really disappointed with my stay for the price. Really poor room, breakfast was awful and had to pay extra for parking - which i was emailed about the night before my stay and price stated (£6) was incorrect. I paid £7.40 for parking for less than 20 hours. "

"Easily accessible, warm and friendly greeting. Beautiful building and room was clean, comfy and perfectly fit for purpose. Didn't go down for breakfast so cannot feed back on that but a fabulous comfy stay overnight for an incredible price! Will definitely stay again and look into more hostels around the Country. "Unfortunately this hotel was not what the photos highlighted. I appreciate it is an old building but it was very worn. The reception area was cold and the man on reception was only concerned about the wedding guest that were staying. Not helpful at all. Food was overpriced in the bar area. Cold dark and dingy is the only way to describe this place."
