We are senior citizens and drove 7 hours from massachusetts to south harrisbirg, PA......along our route we stopped at a rest area, went to expedia and booked a room at Fairfield Suites and drove directly to the hotel to check in..it was non refundable. It wasnt until we arrived that we realized that the entire hotel is under renovation.....the entire 1st floor was closed and although we were on the 3rd floor the smell of paint. Etc was very strong in our room. It wasnt until after we arrived and got to our room that we received 2 emails from the hotel about the renovations.....since it was late......7 pm and non refundablenit was too late to book another room with no tefund. The smell of paint, flooring work etc.etc. all evening and i suspect the odor will continue all night while trying to sleep. We should get a refund!!

Property is under renovation. However there was only a few interruptions. Saw no dust inside and only saw construction workers as they waited on their posted start time to work and once when I returned to the hotel during their work hour.

The jacuzzi (but adults should be allowed to stay in pool areas longer if they sign a waiver or something... I wasn't ready to get out!!!!

Understand the hotel is under renovation but the check in instructions are inaccurate. Says to use side door but it's locked for a late 9pm check-in. No instructions for WiFi either and front desk is of no good help.

Property was under major renovations. Nothing on Fairfield inn website nor Expedia. Not sure we'll return. Sad, bc we always use Fairfield inn. .

The hotel was being renovated. The second and third floor was completed. The rooms were clean, updated and comfortable. It was quiet at night. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. I would definitely stay here again.

There was no notation that it was under construction and signage was poor. We waited in the rain and cold to check in. The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. The gentleman who did the breakfast was polite and helpful but the noise of the drilling while eating was unpleasant.

Very noisy, when we checked in the Jack hammers were raging. When we got to the elevator the area was full of dust from the jackhammering. Now we have to go through that area again for breakfast. We will skip because monoecious wants to eat food that may be full of that dust. They should be closed during construction

Staff and room were excellent! Unfortunately, when I booked the room I was hoping to use the hot tub but construction on the hotel got in my way. That would be my only knock on the property as everything else was great! Maybe next time.

Aside from the pool being worked on it was a great stay. Room was brand new as they are undergoing renovations. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

Great stay. With the ongoing renovations the breakfast was VERY limited. Not sure why a toaster could not have been available. The breakfast sandwiches of egg and sausage was something my husband and I would never eat. The room was excellent and staff were great.

The rooms were small - bathroom very small. No closet-just a few shelves in the already small bathroom, and this was one of their newly renovated rooms. Sheets were dingy and pillows were flat and worn. Breakfast was very limited. Lobby area tarped for renovations. The ongoing renovation should have been noted on the website when reservations were made 3 weeks ago.

The room was big and clean. The bathroom clean and plenty of towels. Tje breakfast in the morning was amazing. I definitely recommend it.
