We loved our stay. Rooms were simple but clean with all we needed. Ate the pub numerous times - fantastic food and service.

Can not be more pleased with the Harrietville Hotel. The room was spacious, the food awesome and the bar first rate. All the staff friendly and accommodating. I shall return.

The owners of the place were so warming and inviting you felt like family. The rooms were clean and comfortable you could ask for top-ups, and nothing was too much trouble. The pub meals were fantastic and the atmosphere with live music was great. Overall, a very pleasant short stay and would definitely be staying there again.

Would be a great place for a one night stay. room only contains toaster and very small mini fridge. no plates, cutlery etc. when asked staff to borrow a champagne or wine glass was told no. staff yelled at kids for being unsupervised in pool even though they were supervised then coincidentally the pool was closed for maintenance the following day for the duration of our stay. Don't always expect to eat at the restaurant because if they are busy even though you are staying there you may not be able to get a meal. our friends staying in the room next to us had a mouse fall on their daughters head during the night, were allowed to move rooms but told they had to move back to original room and it may have been their fault for leaving the door open to have a mouse in their room

in defence of staff, your children and their parents were asked several times throughout the day to please obey our signage and rules when using the pool. This was continuosly ignored and on the final occassion a father of the children tried in vain to start a fight with the publican luckily to no avail.Never has our establishment had to deal with such behaviour and you can be assured you have been 'black listed' from visiting our establishment and venue.We do not consider your rating a reflection of the reality of our venue as dont others that frequent here as one will read in other reviews.to put simply you are not welcome here, disruptive, abusive, culminating in the threat of violence when all staff were working under duresct of Easter trade and all other patrons having a fantastic time appretiating and enjoying all that our establishment has to offer.we wish you all the best in securing accommodation in the valley moving forward as we have since herd there have been past issues in other loacal accomodation providers in the region and can assure you wont be welcome here.

The staff were friendly, room size was large - plenty of space for a family, setting was pretty, lots of solar panels on roof, 2x Tesla charging stations for EVs, right next to a park and a short walk to bus to Mt Hotham. The pub had a pool table, darts, Coonara open fires and good pub food. Easygoing place with all the amenities - the pool looked good for a summer holiday too. There was also a large dining area outside that looked inviting and would be a great place to down a few on a sunny day.

Great location just down the mountain from the ski slopes. Large rooms which are well heated, there's a pool, pub and bistro in the complex. The food is standard pub fare and the pub has regular happy hours and live music. The motel rooms are not serviced until you leave so if you run out of anything you have to go begging for it. I was even invited to empty my own bins. It was snow season and we paid the same as a four or five star hotel in the city, but the service in the motel was no stars. The only place to get breakfast is a caravan serving coffee, toasties and sausage rolls. Or you can drive into Bright where there are cafes, restaurants and Woolworths. We had lots of noisy snowboarders partying through the first two nights but it was quiet when they left. Mt Hotham is about an hour's drive when it's snowing. You can hire all your gear across the road at Hoys. Not sure if we'd come back again because of the lack of cleaning. The room was not that clean especially under the beds, and the coffee cups hadn't been cleaned either. Great potential but disappointing.

Yes however we charge an extra clean fee of $50 if guests bring a dog into motel rooms.

The Harrietville Hotel Motel is just as you’d expect from the photos. It’s outdated and could use some upgrades to make it feel a bit nicer and cleaner but overall fine if you’re on a budget or just needing a place for the night.

A big landscape matched by big rooms and big hospitality. Loved the Hotel / Motel combo - very pleasant having a drink around the pool with the kids splashing about.

We bought the Hotel in December and due to Bushfires and Covid, the money hasnt been there to renovate. We are slowly addressing issues. The pool is being renovated, the bar area has renovations completed. The rooms will be next. Over Christmas because of demand the tariff was increased. Sorry
