"Staff were excellent (Nicole at reception was outstanding). Food well prepared and presented. Room spacious and comfortable. The facilities are getting a bit dated (no USB ports available in the room as is now often found in more modern accommodation) but everything was more than adequate for travellers needing a bed and food before/after flying from Melbourne Airport."

"The hotel was exactly what I needed; however, I arrived at the hotel late night (after 10pm) and left the next morning at 4:30am for an early flight. Needless to say, I basically slept there. Later that morning after checking out I received via email my hotel account and noted a $2 donation (plus CC fee) that was charged to my credit card. I also noticed, only then, I had received a WhatsApp message from the hotel after checking in that they would charge for this donation, unless I "opted out" of the charge. I didn't see this WhatsApp until after checking out. Although I will not quibble about $2, I am unhappy that this charge was an "opt-out" rather than an "opt-in" choice. It's this, the method of the charge, that is unacceptable and must be stopped. Customers really dislike these practices. Always should be "opt-in"."

"Staff were very friendly and not arrogant at all. Very down to earth which we enjoyed and felt very welcome. Room was very big and not felt crowded. Shower was a double in a renovated modern bathroom. There were tables and chairs on the balcony up stairs that we could sit and watch the world go by. Meals were a good size and delicious. Car parking at rear too. Tables and chairs with an umbrella outdoor seating were popular. In the heart of the Daylesford township making it an easy access to all the shops, cafes, restaurants etc. Highly recommend."

"This motel is 5 star! Beautifully modernised and renovated, tastefully decorated with class and style. This isn't your average "this will do" basic room; this place is quality, comfortable, intentional, welcoming and pretty. It's the kind of room that you feel kind of sad to leave. The receptionist Sam was helpful and considerate, and we loved every minute of our stay here. If ever I have reason to stay in Daylesford, the Art Motel will be my first preference! Can't rate it high enough!"
