The hotel locates opposite to the Hbf, and it offers breakfast with fresh food every day. The room is also spacious and cosy, which makes it a good choice for travelers visiting Northern German cities

Great location if you’re heading out for a cruise and need train! Perfect as it’s steps away from the main station with all the train options!! Staff was lovely and breakfast was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable and pleasant stay when visiting for a conference. Great location and transport links. The only aspect to improve could be the breakfast - whilst all good and has a variety of options, these get a bit boring by day 3 of staying... guess you could always skip it and have something else elsewhere.

This hotel was well located for access to the S-bahn and U-bahn. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We would have liked to have had a kettle and extra pillows. Breakfast was excellent. This was very good value for the price paid.

We stayed here for a quick overnight stop in Hamburg when we were coming from Amsterdam to Copenhagen. The breakfast buffet was lovely. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. There are some great restaurants, pubs etc right there in the area.

Small room convenient to the train station

Very convenient for the train station and exploring hamburg in general. Nice buffet breakfast included. Very limited space on each side of bed.

Close to haupbahnhof

We had booked two rooms and asked for interconnecting doors. But even with two messages the hotel did not answer. Upon arrival we got the room, no problem - except they were not connected with doors between the two rooms. We also found out that the quality of beds were really different. In one room the beds were.really good, where in the other the beds were poor quality. But the overall was ok. We had a good sleep, and the breakfast was also fine. And really SUPER thar it is situated just next to the Hamburg Haupbahnhof.

The property is very close to train station and not particularly safe at night. The hotel was clean and comfortable but the elevator was kaput, so five + flights of stairs to contend with…elevator could barely hold 2 people. Hotel staff were despondent and didn’t seem to acknowledge anyone coming and going…not friendly

Good value and great location

We have stayed here on and off for about 20years. Ideal location, excellent value, friendly staff, good breakfast. Rooms are small but adequate. You are only sleeping there. Spotlessly clean bathroom towels and bed linen. Need refurbishing but thats my only negative.

The room was clean but very small. Great view out window. We thought it was very noisy first two nights then realized the window was open at top. Once closed still noisy but less so. Across street from Central train and subway, one block from bus stop. Very convenient! Breakfast was good, Grrman style.

The hotel is in an excellent location for restaurants, fast food outlets and transport as the hotel is practically opposite the main train station. Our room was adequate and clean. Continental breakfast was very nice. My only concern was the twin mattress. Mine kept sliding away and had a big dent in from someone quite heavy in weight I would say. I kept trying to fall off the bed. Once I changed the mattress around it was fine. I enjoyed my stay in Hotel Continental.

Worst bed ever slept in, terrible.

Well it’s not like the brochure as they say, it’s old almost antiquated and we had room 68 on the 6th floor which smelt of b.o. and the Chinese restaurant below with views of the walls. The beds were a disgrace, no hotel should have old battered mattresses with springs or whatever sticking through. There may be one room that looks like the promo shot but it wasn’t ours, for $200 a night it was a rip off. On the plus side the bathroom was clean and the breakfast good, better options must be available. John Wick wouldn’t stay here.

This hotel is good for an overnight stay. Close to train station, shopping, and restaurants. The room was odd, in that, there was one door leading to two small rooms. I have never been in such an odd arrangement. I chose standard double by mistake. Thus, the strange arrangement. Staff was friendly and check in fast at exactly 3:00 pm.

The room was clean and spacious. Shower stall was too small, and the shower curtain kept sticking to my wet skin. Too noisy in the morning because the cleaning supply closet was right outside our door. Lots of door slamming and loud voices from housekeeping personnel. We could smell cigarette smoke from the room next to ours. Close to train station, and restaurants.

Property was in a great location. The inside was a bit tired and in need of tlc. When we were there only one lift was working, and only taking two people at a time, meaning long waits, or struggling up and down to the fifth floor. Breakfast was adequate, bathroom clean, plenty of hot water.
