"I would definitely stay here again when visiting Hakone. Easy and scenic walk along the lakeside from the bus stop or you can take the complimentary shuttle that runs every 20 minutes. The staff both at the front desk and the Japanese restaurant were very helpful and spoke excellent English - we did not try the French restaurant so no review on that. "Host was extremely hospitable, thoughtful, and friendly. We came around 10 at night after getting lost due to some map reading error and he was helpful in getting our luggage upstairs. "The property is really beautiful; gorgeous views, stunning room, and the private onsen is incredible. Absolutely no feedback on the room, grounds, staff, property, etc all amazing! It’s nice that dinner and breakfast are included given that you are quite a walk uphill from Gora and other restaurants. The food is presented in a beautiful setting and the service was wonderful. That being said, the food itself left much to be desired and given the price, we expected it to taste better. "
