Catba oasis bungalows
Room (105) was a good size but the walls are paper thin and conversations by neighbours can be heard like they are in the room with you. Wifi was good. Location is excellent. Reception staff are very good. Kitchen and bar staff not so. My wife had a curry which should include coconut. There was none and when she mentioned this to the bar man he argued saying “same…same” So we donot recommend eating there as good restaurants are plentiful nearby. Breakfast varied from terrible to mediocre, depending on how many guests was staying. More guests = greater choice! The reception staff organised our journey to Hanoi, which was brilliantly organised hotel to hotel. Overall the stay was ok, the cost is reflective of overall quality with the exception of the bar food which is expensive and not up to standard.

I would highly highly recommend booking the oasis when you are on Cat Ba island. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us book excursions, transportion, and were readily available for communication on WhatsApp. Property is beautiful and in a wonderful location. You are close to all the restaurants nearby and staff will help guide you anywhere! If you decide to get a drink at Oasis bar 2, make sure to try a fun bucket!!! We were a little confused about the difference between oasis 1 and oasis 2. Oasis 1 is the restaurant and “club” (after 10 pm). It is a few minute walk from oasis 2. Oasis 2 has the rooms, bungalows, pool, and check in!

Nice stay in a quiet hotel on the edge of town. Easy walk to restaurants and many of the attractions on Cat Ba. Scooter rentals on site make the rest of Cat Ba easy to reach. Hotel room was nice - AC worked well and water in shower was hot. Breakfast was fine - western style to order, with a choice of omelet or sandwich or crepe, all with coffee. Pool was nice, with a bar and restaurant on site. Would be happy to stay here again.

The bungalows are a great option for staying if your looking for value for money with basic but safe, cleanish accomodation. The pool area is lovely and staff tried to be helpful but dont come looking for luxury as this is basic accomodation but what do you expect for the price. Overall very happy with it as its better than many others i saw. Good location and good atmosphere.

This place was absolutely amazing! First of all, there is the sweetest and fluffiest dog, Lee, who we ended up spending a lot of time giving love and snuggles to. The staff were so friendly and kind, especially Tinh. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Some of the best we had in all of Vietnam; the best on Catba for sure. The location was excellent. Close to the beach which we had all to ourselves, and close to everything else in town. Rooms were clean and well kept, and the AC was nice and cold. The only negative I’d say is that the bed was way too hard. I’m all for a firm bed, but this was like sleeping on cement. Luckily we were so exhausted from all our exploring and fun, that we managed to sleep, regardless. Overall, this place was excellent and we will absolutely come back if we find ourselves in Vietnam again!

They didn't have our room ready even though we checked in around 6 PM. Free beer during happy hour. Relative to the nearby hotels and restaurants, Catba Oasis Bungalows was cleaner and had better food. Still, it was mediocre compared to what you would get in Hanoi. It is an island, so set your expectations low and you will have a good time here. Good AC is a major plus because it will get HOT.

Great location. Cool vibe with the bar and the pool. There were a lot of international travelers. The service was pretty good. At one point, though, a worker slapped my leg when I had it resting on a poolside chair as I sat outside. I found that strange. The rooms are pretty bare bones. Ours had many ants in it. The wifi is very spotty and frustrating.

We loved our stay here. We booked Oasis because of the outstanding reviews and it did not disappoint. The staff were helpful, pleasant and had a good grasp on English which was a big help for us. Our room was spotless. I read some reviews that commented on the shower, we had no issues with it, it's a very standard design for Asia, whereas the shower and toilet are all in one room with no divider. We found the food and menu there very good. With 10% off it made it all quite reasonable. The free breakfast is outstanding! Best I've seen on my travels so far. There's bacon! :-) Pool was definitely cold but it was nice to cool off in. I would definitely stay here again and give Oasis a 100% recommendation

Great place to stay in Cat Ba. The property is well maintained with a lot of facilities (Foosball, Pool and a big screen). If you are done sightseeing seeing in Cat Ba, you can still stay in the hotel and relax for a few days as it's worth it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu and the food also needs special appreciation. During our stay they have introduced happy hours which is unlimited draught beers between 6-7PM and we never had to pay much for beer during our time there. Overall a pleasant stay. The only one drawback of this place is the bathroom, which is very small and there is shower curtain between the toilet.

Great stay at great value, highly recommended!
I stayed here with my 2 friends and we booked 2 rooms. We also opted to avail of their bus service from their travel agency office in the Old Quarter to the resort. The room I booked had 2 single beds but since I was staying by myself and my 2 friends in the other room, they gave me a room with a queen bed which was more spacious. The room was clean, well-maintained, had toiletries, cable tv, and a mini bar. The shared balcony had a table and a view overlooking their pool and bar. Bed was big and sheets were fairly clean. They cleaned the room everyday. Location was good as it was on the main road and also near Cat Co 1 beach. The front desk staff were friendly and could speak English fairly well. Food at their restaurant was good and price was okay as well. Two things they could improve on: Breakfast buffet had almost the same food everyday and could get quite tiring if you are staying there for a few days. Restaurant staff were friendly but some could not speak/understand english well which resulted in misunderstandings with some of our orders. Overall, it was a great, relaxing stay and I really enjoyed it. Cheers!

Nice place to stay in cat ba. Amazing staff , especially hai, Toni and the other bar and restaurant staff. I’ve stayed in cat ba before I’m cheaper more basic places but this is good value for a couple sharing a private bungalow. Good vibe

Leider eines der schlimmsten Aufenthalt ever - Wir haben uns sehr auf Cat Ba Inselferien gefreut. Empfang war kurz und bündig. Bereits bei der ersten Augenblick ist mir die klamme Oberfläche/Bettdecke und leicht muffelige Luft aufgefallen, habe mit dem Klimaanlage das Entfeuchten versucht - Trotz mehrere Stunden, leider erfolglos. Dusche/WC hat die besten Tage hinter sich. Duschwand fehlte, sodass der ganzer Raum durchnässt ist und über Nacht die Pfützen gleich bleiben, und damit die Feuchtigkeit im Bungalow steigt. Die eine Nacht lagen wir eng aneinander, um uns aufzuwärmen, da die Decke unsere Körperwärme entzog. Tags darauf sind alle Fenster und Spiegel voller Kondenswasser, unsere Kleider in den Koffern feucht. Der Frühstück wurde auf der kalten, zugigen Terrasse serviert. Erst als wir auf einen Sitzplatz im Innern bestand, wurden wir schroff an einem Tisch gewiesen, ohne vorher die Oberfläche zu reinigen oder zu Tischen. Der Kaffee war lauwarm und schmeckte beim zweiten Nippen nach Seife. Das Spiegelei lag ungewürzte auf einer kalten Teller - Salz und Pfeffer lagen nicht bei. Das war der Anpfiff, hier so schnell wie möglich zu verschwinden, auch wenn wir bereits für 6 Nächte im Voraus bezahlen haben. Wegen dieser eine Nacht habe ich mir eine Erkältung geholt, prima Start für unsere langersehnte Ferien.

dạ em chào anh chị , cảm ơn chị đã để lại đánh giá , nhưng e xin có ý kiến 1 chút ạ , anh chị gia đình có 4 người, đặt hạng phòng thấp nhất bên em ,bên e đã nâng cấp hạng phòng lên cho mình có 2 giường để nhà mình có thể thoải mái hơn , tour lan hạ thì tính 2 người lớn , miễn phí 2 trẻ em , mình đi tour về không đúng lịch trình cũng k thấy nói lại bên e, để e báo lại với nhà tour . e mong rằng lần sau khi gặp bất cứ vấn dề gì anh chị cũng nên nói luôn để cùng giải quyết cho kì nghỉ thật là thoải mái , em cảm ơn

La meilleure affaire sur Cat Ba
Un des très rares hôtels avec un jardin et une piscine sur Cat Ba. Des petits bungalows autour, situé sur la baie de toutes les festivités. Le réceptionniste est très agréable. À mon ami qui avait oublié sa sacoche dans un bus dont il avait arrangé le trajet, il a trouvé le portable du chauffeur et l’adresse du stationnement du bus a l’arrivée : il a retrouvé toutes ses affaires ! Merci

Værelset var ikke helt optimalt. Det var beskidt især badeværelset, som også var meget slidt. Ville klart vælge deluxe værelse, hvis muligt. Udendørsområdet var derimod virkelig hyggeligt og en fin bar/restaurant, hvor der også kunne købes morgenmad. Der var stille og roligt, så man kunne sagts få en god nats søvn. Alt i alt et fin sted for billige penge og få nætter.

アーリーチェックインが出来ました。 日本語がわかるスタッフがいたので、レンタルバイクや翌日のツアーの予約もスムーズにできました。とても親切なスタッフでした。 部屋はHotels.comで使われている写真よりきれいで清潔でした。立地もよく、中心地から近いし、レストランも周囲にあるし、便利でした。

The hotel is ok but too expensive for what you get. Cockroaches in the room and a bit dirty. Nice pool and bar. Food was overpriced and quite bad but the bar and the basic breakfast was ok. NEVER use their services. They messed up our laundry and we got items back that were not ours. They helped us to book a "direct" bus to Hoi An. It was supposed to be only one change and we wanted to have a ticket with us. They couldn't give it to us so we asked for a receipt but they refused to give us one. We got thrown off in Hue (second change if you don't count the boat) and had two wait two hours for the next bus without information or ticket. Oasis hotel really don't care about their guest they just want to sell you terrible extras. Do not stay here.

Personnel ne parlant pas anglais et n’étant pas formé : ne trouve pas votre réservation, essaie de vous faire payer 2 fois... Chambre pas encore terminée : manque carrelage salle de bain, porte ferme mal Hôtel très bruyant car en travaux, aujourd’hui 20 bungalow mais projet de 50 bungalow, les travaux commencent à 5h du matin tous les jours...
