"Amazing stay at this property! The property was clean, simple, and very convenient as it was merely a 5 minute walk to the nearest train station. The owner of the business personally took the time and effort to make our stay as enjoyable and accommodating. Breakfast was provided and there were plenty of restaurants and convenient stores nearby. The genuine hospitality and friendliness of the owner himself truly made this experience personable and one of kind. We definitely will recommend this...

"The hotel was very clean and the staff welcoming me very friendly. The room had a large luggage storage area and a small locker inside the bunk. The room I was in was in was on the top floor with no elevator so it was a little awkward arriving and leaving. Bunks were brand new built from wood and were a little noisy as they acted like a boom box for any neighbouring noise. Showers and toilets were perfectly clean and weren’t an issue for noise when sleeping"

"Overally a great hotel in a superb location. Only an 8 minute walk from Ikebukuro station.
The dining area was great. The restaurant was always buzzing and the food and drink options were good.
The weekly share a meal with someone from another country/culture is a great idea."

"Room was great, comfortable bed, great bathroom, nice lobby, water refill was super handy. Quiet when you are in your room. We enjoyed our stay here but it is like staying right on the Vegas strip.. so if you are looking for nightlife this is a great place. I found for the most part most of our itinerary was actually far away from here so this wouldn’t be my top pick again but it is a great spot and a nice hotel. Overall the staff were good but the one night the front desk wouldn’t help me find dinner. They went and checked in the back if they were allowed and came back and said no. So that was a bit strange. "
"This hotel I just ok. The downside is expect to que for at least 2 hours checking in at 2 pm make sure you select a superior room still small but ok if only here for a few nights. The hotel has 1250 rooms so expect to line up for breakfast. Breakfast has a great selection. Hotel Restaurant extremely expensive but there are other rests nearby. Ten minutes walk to the Government buildings observatory with great views of the city "
"Panoramic room on the 22nd floor with superb views across the Shinjuku skyline. The perfect hotel room to stay in the night before closing the Tokyo Chapter of my Japan journey.
Wonderfully comfortable bed, excellent facilities. Very friendly staff.
Also had breakfast, great selection at the buffet and excellent to have 2 chefs making eggs and omelettes to order.
Superb as well to be able to order an iron and actual ironing board into the room. The only hotel in Japan I’ve been able to do this and finally iron my clothes.
Overall a wonderful stay. Highly recommended. "
APA Hotel & Resort Nishishinjuku Gochome Ekimae Tower
8/10 Good
"Nice property with a lovely on-site onsen (or maybe local water spa - not sure). Room for luggage under the bed, but rooms are pretty tight. Nice having some hooks! Only downside was no in-room AC control, so had to get a stand-alone unit from the front desk, which took up quite a lot of space in the room."
By going with a hostel, you can spend less on lodging and save more of your money for exploring during your stay.
