"I am not really sure why the reviews here so poorly match the state of the hotel. It’s run down and a more than a bit grubby. The staff are lovely and helpful and do their best to take care of you but it doesn’t really make up for the fact that the hotel needs some serious upkeep. "

"Hidden gem. Very historic classic B&B experience. Modernized where it counts but preserved where it matters. Minutes to the beach. The staff made it feel like a stay with family and friends. Will definitely be going back. A+"

"The room was just as I expected it. It was nice, quiet, clean and spacious. Just steps away from bourbon street without the noise. The front door kitties are nice. The staff are super helpful and nice as well. The only drawback was my hubby is 6'5" and he had to duck some in the bathroom and shower. That is the nature of older buildings though."
