Rude and discriminatory staff
The staff at the reception were quite rude. Kept asking for all these different documents which are not required and seemed to discriminate against us because we are foreign. Every time we provided a document they would think of something else really trivial to try and catch us out. Much better hotels in Guangzhou

Location is good with connected walkway to MTR but no proper signage. Apartment entrance is behind the shopping mall so for 1st timer, you need to keep asking to get your way around. Shops and eateries are within walking distant. 5 mins walk to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. Room is big and clean with all basic provisions. Staff do not know what is nearby and what can recommend to travellers, you have to do your homework and depend on yourself. Don’t ask them anything cos they will give you a standard reply: I don’t know or I have no idea. Overall: Good, meet my needs, will stay or recommend if anyone visit Guangzhou.

Dirty and Old with a Good Location. Avoid
Avoid this place unless you have no other options. It is old, dirty, under some sort of contruction (but not in an improvement sense) but cheap. Issues: - My room door did not close properly. If I did not slam it or force it closed the door would never shut. I found this out the first night after checking in when I could hear people in the hallway, only to discover the door never closed when I came into the room. - The door lock on my door would only take the room keys (which have the rooms stated on them and you can only have 1 key per room) every now and then. I would have to stand at my door for 2-3 mins each time and attempt to open the door 20 times. - ROACHES!!!! My first room had nats, second room roaches, 3rd room was clean. I was with my team and some of their rooms had roaches as well. The hotel stated they would take care of it, which ended up being them using bug spray; bugs came back the next day. - elevators are horrifically slow - Rooms are just not cleaned properly. There was dust and mold in places in the room so you can never get fully comfortable. Positives: - COST effective - Location - Washing Machine (no dryer/drying line) Preference concerns: - Bed was rock hard firm - Cleaning staff ignores all do not disturb signs and comes into your room daily. No matter what I did they came in to "clean the room", which meant moving all of the stuff around daily. Talked to the front desk and that didn't change anything.

Location is very good, but do not trust Google maps as it brought me to a deserted building site. The check in process was took more than 15 minutes because Expedia/their system didn't register my booking at all. Having flew an overnight flight and to reach the reception after the long search for the property, that was really devastating. The name of the property listed on Expedia is also different from the actual place. I got so confused when I finally reached there. There's no hair dryer, no cutleries despite that there's a kitchenette in the unit. The receptionists were quite helpful though.

One of my favourite hotels in Guangzhou
It was the third time I stayed at the hotel this year, and I was pleasantly surprised when the cheerful staff remembered me when I checked in! Check in took a while because there was a queue and only one computer was available, but the staff did their best and apologised for the delay. I like the simple, modern and bright room, which has a cool bathroom and a really comfortable bed, unlike the hard beds in some other Chinese hotels. There is a metro station right next to the hotel and a popular shopping street is across the street. Great location!

Excellent location. Next to Metro GongYuanJian station. Apartment entrance is between A Mall and Mayflower Plaza. At lobby there are a few other apartments counters. Yimi is a better one in comparison. From Guangzhou East Train station take Metro yellow line to GongYuanJian station exit F. Taxi RMB 35. About 5 minutes walk to Beijing Road Pedestrian Mall. Taxi to airport RMB 110 without traffic jam.

Two period staying at this property, location is excellent, the room cleaness is so so, at the first period of staying , the smell from the pipes of bath room is bad. The second period staying the water is split all over the floor from the flashing pipe

Convenient, spacious & value for money
Well located in a convenient area minutes walk away to Gongyuanqian train station (which is also an interchange). 5 min walk to Beijing Road for shopping and food. Room is spacious and clean. However, the waiting for lifts can take some time even though there were 3 to 4 lifts. Our access card couldnt scan and we had to ask the reception to scan for us. This was kind of irritating to us. Otherwise, it is a value for money hotel which I will certainly recommend.

This apartment is close to the metro station and shopping malls. Visitors could find may restaurant and travel to everywhere easily. The staff was friendly, and she helped me to check-in a bit earlier because of the typhoon. If I visit Guangzhou again, I definitely stay in this apartment again.

GREAT location. Great housekeeping. average front desk service, if you can speak enough chinese to get by. the only mild frustration we experienced day-to-day are the insufficient elevator cars/speed for the volume of guests in this building. we stayed here for a week, and were lucky enough to experience a black out and got trapped in the elevator on our first day - again, just our luck, probably not a common occurrence. Overall would stay again because it's still a good value for the area.

Excellent comfy and clean accommodation
Apartment is massive with comfy bed, large bathroom and shower and also a washing machine. We stayed for 2 nights on a quick stopover and were very surprised at how good the place was. Very close to a metro stop so nothing in the town is too far away. Would definitely stay here again

Great location and looks just like the picture.
Overall it was a great stay for me. I had Business King Room on Level 25. From all the reviews, it appears level 25 has bad cleanliness. But my room was fine. Their housekeeping is on Level 25. Bed was firm/hard which is what I'm used to and Chinese beds are meant to be hard anyway. Room size suppose to be 50sqm which I don't think it's 50 but close. It's fine for 1 to 2 people. The only thing I was abit disappointed was the lack of hair conditioner, body lotion, soap/body wash. I had to buy my own soap in the Metro station (you can get them in Watson shop). They had shampoo but it was within a tube on the wall. They did supply toothbrush, brush and shower cap. All the towels etc were fine and clean. Room was clean and I was lucky my room didn't have any smell of smoke. Toilet paper - i see many comments online about it. Their toilet papers come 1/2 of normal size. I saw their delivery so it's normal. They do fill them up if you've used it all. Best part of this apartment was the location. You had metro station underneath the A Mall (where the hotel was situated) and there were many restaurants & small shops downstairs and nearby. There is H&M and Uniqloo downstairs and there are 3 levels of restaurants. Beijing Rd is literally 5 mins walk (cross 1 street and you're pretty much there). Beijing rd is abit small and short. If I come back to Guangzhou again in the future, I will stay in this apartment but i will make sure I bring my own supply of toiletries!
