Beautiful hotel in a great part of Guanajuato. The rooms have everything you might want, breakfast is superb. Thee only issue is ongoing construction of the property, but the staff were extremely accommodating of us and our pets.

The property is very well kept, they have different types of rooms for different size families. It limited to just several rooms which is great for being quiet and not crowded. The staff treats you like a family member and will go out of their way to help you.

Incredible views away from the center

Amazing views for incredible price. The staff was very hospitable and we were enchanted the whole time. I will you for the bigger rooms next time because we toured them and you can't beat their price. You need to come here. About a ten minute drive into town. Highly recommend!

this hotel was truly unforgettable our room was the cedro with a spectacular panoramic 180 degree view of the stars from our bedroom and living room windows was crystal clear just twinkling all night long . Although the city was about a 10 minute Uber ride.But well worth it. very quiet and lots of friendly people in hotel. This hotel is decorated with lots of love and charm hotel was very clean and staff was super accommodating. the town of guanajuato is about 2 miles in front of hotel and about eighteen hundred feet below hotel which make this hotel boutique casa estrella spectacular. food was excellent i would definitely stay here again...

Amazing Experience

We had the most incredible stay. The property is classic Spanish architecture, with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. There are beautiful common areas and gardens. The pool and hot tub are well maintained and a perfect place to relax. The staff is all so kind and helpful. The daily breakfast is perfect and the setting “es muy tranquillo.” Highly recommend if you are looking for a special experience off the beaten path.

I have never felt so welcome and as though i were in someones home being taken care of in any way they could to make my wife and i comfortable and relaxed. Breakfast was delicious ever morning and the focus on the little details on this sprawling property was quite impressive. I couldnt have wished for a betterview through every window we looked out of. Wonderful weekend at La Casa Estrella de la Valenciana. We spent the weekend here to escape the hustle and bustle of El Centro. Amazing views of the city in the valley from the room/terraces all around the property. Nice pool and hot tub. Full service breakfast that did not disappoint. The staff were all as pleasant and helpful as you could ever hope for, they helped us order pizza for delivery one night. Easy Uber ride to and from Centro. A must for a few relaxing nights!

The staff goes out of there way to make sure you have an exceptional stay. The setting is awsome, up high in an arroyo with great views. Breakfast was very good. Clean an comfortale. I felt like I was a special guest in someones private villa. Having to take a cab into town central was a little inconvenient.I wish they had a shuttle, but the staff coordinated transportation and price was reasonable.

Staff are very friendly and gave extra care. On my last day, had to leave very early to the airport, they had a trusted taxi guy picked me up at 4:30am so I wont struggle on getting late to the airport in case it was hard to get a taxi at that time.

Lovely hotel but far from town

Terrific hotel offering delicious made-to-order breakfasts and beautiful, spacious rooms and suites. It was too cold to swim but the pool area was beautiful. We had a lovely couples massage. The little gym was convenient but not well kept up. We didn’t have a car and needed to take taxis or Uber rides into town. We walked into town twice but it was far and would be hard to walk back because the hotel is far uphill.

This was our first time visiting Guanajuato, and the first accommodations we booked for our first two nights. We fell in love with Casa Estrella, and also with the beautiful staff!!!!!! If we would have known how beautiful, welcoming, and amazing our first two nights here we’re going to be, I would have not booked our other two accommodations for the rest of our trip. We truly feel we made deep connections with Erika, Xavier, Jose, Isabella, and everyone else Casa Estrella. We definitely plan to return to Casa Estrella from now on when we come back to Mexico to visit family. Gracias a todos at Casa Estrella.

Absolutely fantastic! Pictures represent the property nicely, excellent ambience and vibe for those wishing to have a peaceful sanctuary to retreat to after exploring the city. The staff provides impeccable and friendly service, with a great breakfast service included in your stay. Couple of notes: 1. Uber service is available but spotty, so make sure to have the staff reserve a taxi well in advance for any important trips (airport) 2. Late evening dining options in the area are very limited/non-existent, so plan accordingly 10/10, would stay absolutely stay again!

When booking on Expedia make sure to check their website first as all the rooms are quite different and their website makes the differences more clear. I cannot say enough good things about this place. All of the details were great from the cool light fixtures to the neat brick work. This place is well designed and well taken care of. All of the staff we talked to were so nice. At one point we messaged them to see if they knew where the blanket in our room was from because we were hoping to buy one and they got us the number and address of the seller. There's free daily breakfast which is probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The location is too far from town to easily walk so either have a car (they have parking) or be ready to taxi/Uber (it was about 100 pesos). There isn't ac but temps get pretty cool at night and there are fans, we were never hot. We loved every part of our stay, the hotel and staff were fantastic.
