Lovely old hotel with large private terraces for each room. Freshly cooked breakfast is brought to your room (but you don’t get to choose what it is).

Excellent property, beautiful views from our terrace, great breakfast with one delicious hot item. Right on the harbor, great dining options. Within a block there’s Namaste India restaurant just in case. Excellent front desk. We had a rental car. Parking is impossible. When I asked owner he gave me “Talos Square “ free parking. We drove for hour to find parking. Actually paid parking is even closer and 10 euros per night and readily available. Other than this recommendation it’s 5 *.

We had a very nice stay, great staff and service. From the arrival attention was great and Breakfast was really nice. The hotel is conveniently located for dinning, shopping, taking boat tours and visiting the harbour. Very charming place and well mantained. Not related to the hotel but something to consider if you are renting a car, the parking around the area is crowded and the walking with the luggage from the parking to the hotel could be difficult.

A boutique hotel in an excellent location for Chanda old town with stunning views over the harbour. The staff are professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the hosts (Dora and Effie) were outstanding.

Great Accommodation
One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. They’re rated four-star quality, I would say they are four-star plus quality. Very friendly staff, excellent service and served breakfast was exceptional. I highly recommend them as a place to stay when in Chania, Crete.

What a great location and great view of the harbor from our balcony. Excellent service and helpful and friendly concierge. Hotel lobby closes at 9pm. We arrived later than that but everything was waiting for us. Parking is not easy in this area but the charming pedestrian historic location is worth the extra effort! Love this location and this hotel! Great breakfast served in the room/balcony as well! Thank you for everything Belmondo!

We were here briefly as we made our way across Crete. The staff was so kind to make arrangements with us to get us in after hours. We slept hard, and left early. The place is very cute, and the location was amazing.

This hotel is beyond amazing. The staff, including Dora, Vasiliki and the lady who does the cleaning (sorry, I do not know her name) are all absolutely lovely. The rooms are beautiful, the view astounding and the breakfast phenomenal. It sets you up for the whole day! This is truly a wonderful find and I know we will be back.

Fabulous hotel with helpful staff, great breakfast & beautiful view of the harbor from the balcony rooms. We stayed 4 nights & loved every minute! Dora was fantastic & helped us sort Samaria Gorge trip, beach club and a private boat to visit Bali’s and other beautiful beaches & coves! Would stay here again! Great location, close to everything!

Chania is a magical place and the hotel is located at the center of old town. Staffs are friendly and helpful. In-room breakfast was served very morning. The only thing need to be aware of staying at the hotel is that driving in the old town is not allowed and the free public parking lot is about 5 minutes away. Before your arrival, ask the hotel is give you detailed information. It’s an easy walk but the parking lot is usually full starting early evening as people from surrounding areas eating and visiting restaurants and shops in the old town.

We spent four nights here. The hotel is well located one block from the harbour. The private terrace where breakfast was brought each morning was a wonderful feature. The breakfast was different every day with a good variety of breads, fruits and yogurt among the offerings. Wonderful women working the reception desk, very helpful and pleasant.

Wonderful location in the heart of Old Town. The staff was friendly, helpful and always greeted us with warmth. They brought us a drink and treat as we checked in. Tons of shops and restaurants steps away and the port is literally around the corner. Made our trip to Chania better than we expected.

We had a triple room looking out over the harbour. The wonderful staff brought us breakfast each morning and we sat at our table in the balcony to breathe in the magic of Hania. The staff were excellent. If you are looking for a special experience in Hania this is that place.

Beautiful small hotel close to harbour
We spent three nights here at different times. All the different rooms were clean, beautifully furnished and ideal for three people. The one with its own balcony on the top floor was particularly stunning and well worth the extra if you can afford it.

Wonderful stay
The staff was incredibly helpful, kind, spoke great English. The breakfasts were excellent and full of variety each morning. The hotel is central to everything in the 'Old Town'. The only thing I would have liked to know before arriving there is that you cannot take your car into the 'Old Town' and parking it somewhat difficult to find.

We loved our stay at Belmondo. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location; only steps from the harbour. The breakfast was delicious each morning. Something different each day and served on our balcony. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again if back in Charnia, which is a beautiful city.

Small boutique style hotel with the most pleasant staff! Upon arrival welcomed us with a special drink and sweets. Arranged for an awesome dinner at local restaurant and provided information about surrounding area. Very spacious, clean and awesome view of the harbor!

Excellent location overlooking the old harbour
We will definitely go back to Chania old town and stay at Belmondo. The staff were all friendly, and it was such a treat to have our breakfast brought to us on our balcony. The only things to be aware of are: it can be quite noisy at night as you’re right in the thick of it on that corner overlooking the harbour. Also it’s north facing so you don’t get direct sunlight onto your balcony (this suited us) and finally the beds are quite hard, I was fine, but my partner struggled.

5 night stay off peak season (October)
We had a good stay for seeing Chania, location right in the centre of the old town- could have been noisy in peak season, but in October it was fine apart from one night when we had to ask the occupants of the room next door to keep their noise down after midnight. There are no staff at the hotel after 10pm. We seemed to have by far the smallest room, bedroom very cramped - others seemed much more spacious. Breakfast served in the room (no common area), which we had to eat on the balcony as there was no-where else - not sure what would have happened if it had rained, would have to sit on the bed? The harbour view rooms have a great view - the city view ones look at a dilapidated wall. So would look for something else if we went back to the city, or insist on one of the much better rooms.

A gem of a place
Hotel was just what we expected, lots of character, upgraded to suite which overlooked the old town. Sometimes a little noisy but then you are right in the old town close to shops and bars. Breakfast served on your balcony every morning was awesome, such a diligent and the staff are all wonderful, Maria, Ria and Athena . Lovely holiday.

The bill Moondew was a great place to stay
The staff at the Belmondo hotel were excellent. Ria and Maria were the greatest hostess ever! The location was fantastic and close to the water. It is located very close to the plaza square fountain, wonderful shopping, Starbucks coffee and it is right next to an excellent 5 star pizza and pasta restaurant.

Nice hotel and friendly staff next to the harbor.
I stayed at the Belmondo Hotel while on business in Chania. Maria and Athina were both very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They were very accommodating and willing to help with anything that I needed. Athina also recommended some very good restaurants that were close by. The hotel is located on a pedestrian street in old town Chania in the middle of shopping and restaurants, and right next to the harbor. It's an ideal location if you want to stay in this part of town. The hotel serves a delicious and very filling breakfast at an extremely reasonable price on the balcony of your room; this was a highlight. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. There is some noise from the restaurants along the harbor area at night, so you might be affected by that if you are a light sleeper. I had some jet lag and was often awake at night, so I could hear the noise, but it was muted; if it weren't for the jet lag, it would not have kept me up. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location. Fantastic room. Hotels.com website is wrong. The beautiful balcony room that shows water, is the Sea view room, NOT, city view. We had the SeaView room and it was fantastic. Maria was so friendly and helped us with our every need. The bus inf center gave us a map and showed us how to do the easy 8 minutes walk into town. Our room was quite even overlooking the main harbor activity.
