"Power went out often on the island, a generator is needed at this property. Out flight was cancelled and we lost a day. I was told we would get credit for that but haven’t received confirmation of that yet. Location is okay, taxi service is a few blocks away, restaurants close. Not sure if I’d return or recommend at this time, still waiting on owner to honor his verbal agreement. But no matter what, a generator is desperately needed to protect a quality experience. "

"The property itself was very nice and had a nice breakfast. It is not walkable however like reviews say. That is misleading. There is a hill to walk up to get to the property and then a very steep driveway to the actual rooms. We were told by a couple taxi's they can't drive up it. We had to lug our luggage up this because reviews said it's "walkable"."

"Do NOT plan to arrive early to this hotel or be treated kindly. We arrived around 3:00 pm knowing that check in is at 4 pm, but most hotels can accommodate an early check in if the rooms are ready. We explained that we would like to check in so we could freshen up prior to our 4:30 pm cab pickup and dinner reservation at 5 pm. "I ended up in the same room I was in for Christmas. It was very clean and well stocked with towels and shampoos. Nice big screen tv and cold fridge and freezer. The grounds are older, but well kept up. It's a struggle keeping afloat on the islands and this resort is no different. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I know they would appreciate your support! I've lived on St. John for over 30 years so I know how hard it is to turn a profit here!"
