"The Big thing the Don Miguel has going for it is its prime location overlooking the gorge right beside the iconic new bridge. You can't beat the view! Otherwise, it is a fine, if well-worn, older hotel. The restaurant has multiple terraces all with lovely views, but so-so food. They say they have limited parking, but it is so limited that most guests must hunt for limited parking elsewhere in town."
"The hotel is in a beautiful location and very well appointed. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and the staff were excellent.
Definitely stay again."
"The location was fabulous but hotel was very basic. Owner leaves WhatsApp number for you to contact on arrival so you have to wait to be let in. I had tried contacting through Hotel.com messaging in advance to reserve parking but never heard back. I parked outside the old city and walked in which I think in the long run is easier. I had to message again to get the wifi password as it isn’t posted anywhere. She responded right away. The place is fine but more basic than I had expected and no one is manning the desk for any length of time. I messaged to say I had checked out and left the keys at the desk as no instructions provided."
"It’s a paradise the place is old well maintained, ( although we didn’t get our bed made up or changed our towels) it a rough road to it, but it’s well worth it. The ladies at breakfast were very nice and complacent, on our arrival there were a young lady, that helped us with our luggage’s, I did get her name, and unfortunately we didn’t see her again to show her our appreciation."
"There were no staff at the front desk ever. That was somewhat expected as it was described as digital check in. However, we only saw 1 staff person on our last day. - when we checked out. There was no response to several messages I left through WhatsApp."
"Location was good with proximity to the train and bus stations. All the sights were within a quick 10-15 min walk. Hotel was of the smaller older boutique type. For the price it was excellent for our night stay in Ronda."
