Travelodge is an excellent option for the value. Michelle was welcoming and friendly the night Clerk was super nice and helpful. Older motel and has updates. I would swim in the pool. Good bed and bathroom, clean. I would stay here again.

The price is good for what you get, and trust me. The service ain't bad it's actually very good they have employees who are working at the highest standard of service. The problem is that maybe because of the low price you get all of this unpleasant customers which make the facilities unsafe for other people who are just trying to rest, enjoy their vacations or whatever on top of that there's a stigma around people who stays at this hotel (Uber and Lyft drivers are always surprised when they have to pick you up or drive you there, because they consider this is not a good place for a foreign tourist or for families) And that's a shame because as previously stated this is a good hotel with clean rooms and excellent service, it could be better with a little bit more security for the employees and for the people around. There's hot water, the sheets are clean and everything smells generally ok.

Loud - people coming and going all night. Lots of coughing - I could hear and smell guests smoking weed. BLACK MOLD all around the heating unit and vents. Turned off the heater but could still TASTE mold in the air. Almost went out to sleep in the car but beds seemed clean and we were leaving @ 5am anyway.

Better than most

We enjoyed our stay there. The room was quite clean, and we had a good night's rest. The beds were nice and firm which is a welcome change from the usually "too soft" mattresses most hotels & motels have. The A/C worked well, and it didn't stink like smoke, which is rare. We didn't experience any issues with the room, and the front desk attendant was rather nice to us. All in all, I'd recommend this property, and I think if we go back to Grand Rapids we would be happy to stay there again.
