Exactly what we needed

In the aftermath of 30+” of snow we dug out and sought a new location with power and hot showers. How blessed we were to find this gem. A point of refuge and some much needed R&R. Cabin was quaint, warm, and comfortable, and the host was attentive and welcoming. Thank you for this port in the storm. 😊

This little cabin is exactly what the owner purports it to be. No more; no less. It's quaint and the bedrooms are small. Because it's a cabin. The shower is small. Because it's a cabin. The TV and stove and sink are all small. Because it's a cabin! There are a few ants around, but there's Raid spray under the sink if you want to go that route. The occasional ant is going to show it's occasional self. It's a cabin. in the woods... I thought it was a fair accommodation for a fair price (just a little more than a hotel room), and I would rent it again if the situation arose. It's NOT a "house". It's a cabin...Enjoy.

This was a very poor experience. We had no water for shower, and no water in kitchen sink. We checked in late at night, got up to take showers, and weren't able to do so because there was no water. We'd rented the cabin to go to a wedding and weekend events. Checked out an hour before checkout time to get to the event--unshowered-- and called the host, who didn't pick up. Left a message reporting the problem, and then we were told that we should have spoke to him to have him fix the problem before we checked out. I asked if he thought we should miss the event to wait for him to call back re: the water? Host Offered a $50 rebate and said it wan't his problem that our timeframe didn't work with the time of when we let him know, then the host went on to say he didn't have to offer a refund and got very personal about what should be a professional, business transaction. Host that I was "absolutely disrespectful."..he's "at a loss with how humanity has become and not sure how some people sleep at night. Please never come back to our establishment. ..You're not the kind of customer we want to welcome back." I have NEVER written a negative review of a rental, and have a positive track record for giving positive, gracious reviews. I do not recommend this place to fellow travelers.

We liked having the cabin to ourselves and that there was contactless entry. We appreciated that they took extra cleaning precautions to make us feel safe. We were disappointed that the gas fireplace didn’t work- though it could have been operator error. Overall a very good stay.

I would not recommend staying here to anyone. I was given the wrong instructions for check in which wouldn't have been a big deal except it took someone from the property nearly an hour to get back to me with the correct instructions. Walking into the property was a death trap as there are no gutters on the cabin so all the meltwater from the roof pools and drops right in front of the door. Both mornings we had to break through a wall of icicles to be able to walk out and even then it was treacherous from the 3 inch thick ice across the entire walkway. The wifi didn't work our entire stay which meant the television didn't work since it runs exclusively on the internet. After bringing this to the managements attention, I was left with the feeling that the wifi is a common issue they are refusing to address. The shower head was broken so badly there was almost no pressure. When we arrived there were dishes still in the sink and someone else's food/drink in the fridge which made me seriously doubt their cleaning/covid practices.

Great cottage close to Sunapee

This was a perfect stay for us as a family of 4 skiing at Sunappee! The cottage is clean, Cozy and comfortable. I’d definitely come back!
