"The room was as advertised and comfortable. The lighting in the stairwell in the evenings was dim, several bulbs were out. Also the road leading to our condo was quite rough, large uneven sections of the paved road made for a bumpy drive."

"This hotel was lively and had extremely friendly, helpful staff. I was impressed by the common areas and how welcoming the space was. Our room was quite large, and the beds were quite comfortable However, the decorative pillow pillows on the sofa in our room, smelt repulsive- to the point I would not sit on the sofa. There was quite a bit of dust, but generally in higher areas like around the door frames. Sadly, the Jacuzzi tub took almost 2 hours to fill, and by then the water was cold so overall the choosy in the room was not usable which was disappointing. Because of how kind the staff was, and how the whole hotel felt I would try this hotel again- just might bring Lysol & not order a room with a jacuzzi!"

"Nice and clean! It was quiet too! I stayed in one of the cabins and I was worried that I would hear the people next to me and I couldnโt hear anything. Convenient location. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint is how small the shower was."

"This historic hotel should compare to resorts such as the Greenbrier, the Homestead, the Broadmoor in customer service. My only complaint in that regard was the lack of staff upon initial arrival at the front door. I am used to never being allowed to touch my luggage until a porter has delivered it to my room. I'm used to not having to open my own car door when I arrive. I'm used to a doorman when I enter the lobby. None of that happened here and I think it should. That being said, I loved the hotel and I'm sure we'll stay again. I loved the history, including the haunted history. I loved cocktails on the sweeping veranda overlooking Mount Washington. Our room was small by today's standards but superb in every other way. The complimentary shuttle service to "off campus" resort properties and amenities was great. I believe this hotel will be on my calendar next summer!"
