"A lovely place to stay and we even got an upgrade to the 3rd floor suites. Breakfast was great, the sheets were soft and the pillows were perfect. Only complaint would be the non user-friendly coffee maker!"

"Unbeknownst to us.. There is live music in there restaurant every Sunday knight. It was imposable to sleep!!! Booming music with screaming and yelling!!! It was horrible. It kept us awake until 1:AM This was not a one night thing. This is every Sunday night. Very disappointed. We shared our experience with another passenger on the ferry ride home and said the same thing happened to them some time back. Don't go there!!!"

"Room was very clean. Convenient to have a restaurant and a bar on the premises. We went to both. The restaurant had an excellent breakfast menu, portions were huge and service was quick and thoughtful. At the bar, it was chicken wing night and it was hopping. Service was still quick and wings were great and such a good price. A 12 minute drive to the Save on Food Memorial Centre so we took a taxi and it was $12 before tip."

"We were privileged to stay in a gorgeous suite in Fairmont Gold. We were celebrating Mother's Day and my daughter's birthday. Michael of the Fairmont Gold Desk Team went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. They helped me decorate the room for my daughter's birthday. Room service and restaurants were exceptional. On the Fairmont Gold floor, they have beautiful breakfast and snacks throughout the day late afternoon early evening hors d'oeuvres and incredible desserts, coffees soft drinks juice beautifully done. Impeccable. We enjoyed playing Scrabble and looking out at the beautiful harbor from the Fairmont Gold living room family room area. It feels like you were going back in time staying at the beautiful Fairmont Empress. The service is extraordinary and the feel and ambience of this gorgeous hotel makes you feel momentarily lost in time in the best way. We will be back soon."

"The TV was not working, finally they changed rooms, the noise of the elevator meant no sleep this was supposed to be a stress free evening. We had a hospital appt the next day at 6am, the room had a big step upto the bathroom. The elevators are not big enough to hold a standard wheelchair, the one good thing I have to say was the older gentleman who worked the night shift assisted me at 445 am. Do not recommend at all."

"Great location on the boardwalk. Only a 15-20 mins walk to the Fairmount hotel. Modern rooms and comfortable bed. Harbour view was worth the extra money. The food at the hotel restaurant was great. I wish my stay was long enough to enjoy the indoor/outdoor pool. I would definitely stay here again."
