North West Castle Hotel

"I just was just here for one night after getting off the ferry at Cairnryan before continuing my journey the next morning. The staff were helpful and lovely both on reception and in the dinning room at breakfast. The room was spacious and bed was incredibly comfy probably one of the comfiest beds Iโve slept in. Breakfast was lovely with both options of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and a cooked breakfast from a menu which was superb. I would definitely stay here again if passing through to and from the ferry port or even to stay and explore more of the area around this part of Galloway"

"What a great little place to stay. The staff were so helpful and the accommodation was immaculately clean (all recently refurbished). The locals were also so welcoming to enjoy a little drink with before a delicious home made supper was served."

"The area is absolutely stunning with amazing views. The hotel needs a little TLC is a little antiquated needs to be brought into the 21st century only silly things like sockets that take phone cables etc, especially when youโre on business and need chargers etc: however what a lovely place to stay and I would cope lol. Staff were amazing all of them from the gent on reception who seemed to be everywhere to the lovely lady in the Bar and restaurant again she was a very busy lady with a joyful and friendly attitude. All in all a great place and most importantly I enjoyed my time there. Will most definitely visit again even if I have to drive out of my way."

"Great location with panoramic view of Portpatrick. Car parking on site which is included in the cost of your room as long as you register with reception. Very clean hotel . Dog friendly with dedicated areas of the hotel reserved for dogs and their owners. Breakfast is self service buffet. The plate warmer and the hot food warmer do not keep the plates and the cooked food warm. Coffee machine was broken so only instant coffee available at breakfast hence a score of 4 out of 5."

"Lovely country pub with beautiful rooms upstairs. Really friendly staff and the view on the way to my room were the best I had all day, and I had covered 270 miles ๐ณ"

"Friendly staff, room was clean and adequate, no problem in getting extra beverages, breakfast very good, bed comfortable , bathroom and little small, cabinet above small sink to low when trying to wash or shave , but got on with it and did not spoil our stay, very good shower, lovely view from window overlooking harbour, enjoyed our stay over 3 nights would go back ๐"

"We had a lovely stay at the Castle - the room was beautiful as was the food. The staff in the restaurant and those who welcomed us were amazing. Only disappointment was on check out we asked the history of the castle and were told by a very disinterested staff member to "look it up online"! We thought they would have been very proud to talk about the history and when it was built etc. Other than that we loved it!"
