We stayed in the Churchill Room which was very comfortable. The food was fantastic with a great choice of wines. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble, would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

Disappointed

Covid conditions exceptional and we felt very safe in this regard. We have stayed before several years ago and enjoyed our stay in the past. However this time we were disappointed with our trip and will not return as the delivery was not up to standard. The food was very good and overall the service was too apart from one male staff member who appeared to be a supervisor or manager who showed me to me room and let me carry my own suitcase, I am over 70. He also hovered about as we were eating our meal which spoiled the experience. The room and facilities were not up to the standard expected. I asked for conditioner and was told they didn't supply it even though I was given a bottle the previous day when I asked.

Quiet and relaxing

Pleasant homely hotel. Superb food (fine dining - tasting menu, small portions) quaint bar. We were the only couple and there was a large well behaved group too. Very secluded, looks onto the shoreline- a lovely view at breakfast. We enjoyed our overnight.

You are treated like a family guest at Knockinaam lodge. Coffee and shortbread on arrival. The standard of service and food is exceptional. Very friendly staff and a real treat. Well done to all.

The qaulity of service and attitude of staff was excellent. The food was beyond incredible. Meeting the owner, David, was an added bonus, as got the opportunity to congratulate him on a superb job of turning Knockinhaam into something so unique and special. We both highly recommend this Lodge, and will definitely be returning.

Escape from City

Staff and food excellent, room comfortable, larger TV, and tea / coffee making facilities in room would enhance. Stay was during a wet November, location would be lovely in Spring / Summer when hopefully weather warmer. Would have been nice to meet the owners given Lodge only has 10 rooms not all of which were occupied during our stay. Stay was enjoyable but when comparing with other 5 star hotels I would suggest it is a bit pricey.

Good food in charming hotel

It was a cold night so we were grateful for the wood fires in the public rooms and the electric blankets on the bed. Pleasant staff and owner. Very good dinner, well served. Breakfast very good too. Our room was a good size with a large bathroom and we had a good night's sleep in this quiet spot, despite some noise from adjacent plumbing.

Knockinam lodge was more than I hoped for..it was the most peaceful, calm, uplifting, classy, elegant old world quiet place you can imagine. Bucolic scenes all the way there, steps from the ocean, seals popping out of the water, michelin rated unbelievable food, great service, large rooms with huge bathrooms, and tubs the size of a hot tub! They had a bar in a room like setting with dark paneled walls, great views and tons of flowers with high ceilings and greatest crown moulding I ever saw. Would recommend it to anyone.
