Beautiful Villa (Make sure you read fine print)
Staff was more than accommodating. Had a few issues upon arrival with the accommodation type chosen (the cheapest rooms are quite a bit from the beach and run down, they are not as the reception area is). The hotel took care of the misunderstanding with the utmost customer service. The rooms in the bungalows and two story white building are beautiful. The pool is as pictured. Breakfast on the beachfront was lovely each morning. Walking distance to everywhere, but rent a bike, mask and snorkel! It’s more fun. (NOTE: there are no motorized vehicles, travel light to avoid hiring a donkey!) Pool deck has ample space for yoga too! There was no attendant at the pool, which I would have enjoyed. The WiFi was good and ac cooled the room.

Do not stay at the home stay. The room was gross not even a top sheet on the bed just a brown fuzzy blanket. The walls and curtains were stained there was a tiny window in a tiny room that felt like a prison cell. Only positive thing was a/c seemed to work. I went to the main property and upgraded to stay there which was much much better!!! I’d suggest the villa Karang main property NOT the home stay that’s affiliated.

Did not like it, but all other reviews are good so not sure. Stayed in a better homestay for half the price. But you can use the hotels facilities, such as the pool.

Close to the boat dock
It's central to where you get off the boat, so that was a plus. There are also a lot of restaurants along the strip. This homestay is a bit off the beaten track, but I liked that and it felt really private. The amenities from the bigger hotel are also included. We were welcomed with orange juice and a cold towel. It was pleasant. The room is small but includes everything you need, especially a/c. There are also drying racks available for when you swim and need a place to dry your suits. I would definitely recommend this place for the island!

Great budget option for Gili Air
Great budget option that allows you to enjoy hotel facilities and breakfast (minus plush room) at price of a homestay. Room is very small and basic but staff are attentive, room was as clean as it could be. Great budget option for a couple of nights on Gili Air.

One of the best places I would recommend you to stay as its clean and neat also the WiFi is amazing too. There was not even one single thing which gave me a bad feeling in choosing this hotel. I even made friends with the hotel staffs and I really believe this people are one of the best hostile hotel staffs I have come across in life

I was happy with the my room but the people in other rooms were rather noisy. Pathway needed more lighting. Overall the breakfast and the amenities at the hotel next door were excellent . Pool really nice.

Best of both worlds.
This is the best of both worlds, vilkar is located about a 3 minuite walk from the main resort with comfortable rooms and daily housekeeping. The AC worked great as did the shower (no hot water but you don't need it in the heat). The breakfast buffet at the resort had lots of options and lots of food. You get to use all the facilities at the main resort for a fraction of the price. We loved our stay, it did not feel like we were in a budget hotel. Remember to check in at the main resort before you head to vilkar.

Basic room, but it had everything we needed as we were diving and not spending much time in the room. Use of the resort pool was great and the free breakfast was amazing. Check in is at the main resort and the home stay is a block away. great value for money.

We stayed in the homestay but we were allowed to use the resort facilities which was really good! The staff are lovely and very friendly we were greeted with orange juice and a facecloth which was nice Breakfast was nice also

Pictures online look a little bit nicer but it was still comfortable. Wifi works great and there is no hot water. Cheap stay!

Perfect budget accommodation for couples :)
Stayed a couple nights here last minute and we were not expecting much as we have been staying in hostels in indo but we were pkeasently surprised to find we had our own ensue airconditioned room apon checking in, went for the included breakfast the next morning again maybe expecting toast and some fruit but was surprised again to find a full buffet inc wide variety of fruit, toast, eggs, tomatoes, noodles etc. and with the option to have fresh made omelets, pancakes on request, for $15 each a night Australian I highly recommend!

Budget property with AC & benefits of a Resort!
Great central location extended our stay here for 4 nights. Room was very comfortable and you have the benefits of using there resort next door the pool & facilities & buffet breakfast was amazing!! We had an issue with our AC that kept turning off after 5 minutes so was hot all night & staff didn't seem to know what I was saying to them (English was not great) shortage of towels perhaps? Always seemed difficult to get towels or an extra towel.. The wooden bench seats outside stained our clothes when we hung our swimwear out to dry they maybe need paining or something.

Pool access and near the Beach
Great location, a 3 minute walk to one of the best beach locations. It's a quite location, with many shops and restaurants within a few minutes. The best part is that it's a sister hotel to a nice resort next door, and they allow you full access to the very nice pool. The breakfast was a decent buffet with a good enough selection, including western and asia selections and omelets to order. The coffee was good too. Overall, it's in a great location with pool access and nice staff.

Air - con turned off constantly - fine otherwise.
The room was perfectly fine, apart from the fact the air con turned off every few mins. The room was sun facing, so especially cooked in the mornings, but the nights were stifling too. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was soul destroying, as most hotel buffets are. Tbh, I would never book ahead on Gilis again...Walk - up are soooo much nicer and MUCH cheaper. Lesson learned.

Nous sommes restés 2 nuits dans cet établissement. Le confort est sommaire, il n’y a pas d’eau chaude. Les fenêtres ne se ferment pas vraiment donc on sentait l’odeur extérieure dans la chambre. La climatisation fonctionnait correctement. Le petit déjeuner et l’accès à la piscine de l’hôtel Spa Villa Karang est un plus.

ホテルズコムの地図は違ってます チェックインは海岸沿いの ヴィラ カランホテルで行います 係りの人が300mほど入った所へ連れて行きます チェックインしたホテルとの違いにびっくり 何か長屋みたいでした 良い所は 本館のホテルで朝食とプールや施設が使えること 値段相応です

Jättebra läge precis nära hamnen. Fantastiskt pris då man får äta på hotellets frukostbuffé samt använda poolområde osv som vanliga hotellgäster även om man bor på Homestay.

Ok für eine nacht mehr nicht
Ich wurde zwar herzlich empfangen und erhielt ein kaltes tuch und ein glas saft zum empfang jedoch war das zimmer im homestay nicht sehr schön. Ich war 3 nächte dort. Ich habe nicht grosse ansprüche aber konnte wegen der AC nicht so gut schlafen da sie so laut war.. die kissen hatten leider schimmel wurden jedoch ausgetauscht. Das bad müffelte ziemlich stark. Für eine nacht wäre es ok gewesen 3 waren jedoch zu lange in so einem zimmer. Vielleicht habe ich auch einfach ein altes zimmer erwischt. Ich habe ja auch nicht viel zeit im zimmer verbracht und der preis war günstig jedoch war das zimmer leider ungenügend für mich. Hatte trotzdem eine schöne zeit auf gili air!

Man får ju vad man betalar för. Men lakan och handdukar hade en sunkig färg gamla fläckar som inte var borta. Extremt lyhört och vakna av ceremonin som kördes på morgonen från 4:45-5:15... Valde att ha skor på mig inne då de var smutsigts på golvet. Kuddarna var jätte bra. Personalen var väldigt trevliga.

En un mot “incredible” Sachez que vous bénéficiez des avantages de l’hotel ( petit dej version buffet à volonté et de la piscine ) Le personnel est chaleureux et est à votre service. Seul pts négatif la chambre 506 (pb malodorante de sdb, le ménage qui n’est pas fait quotidiennement et la poubelle devant l’entree Qui n’est pas vidée et qui attire les moucherons) sinon tout était parfait. J’y reviendrais sans hésiter :)

Value for money!
Super fint hotel værelse, til billige penge. Det er gartnere rundt om værelserne som hele tiden sørger for der ser rent og pænt ud. Ingen varmt vand, men som dansk viking er der ikke den udfordring man ikke kan klare ;-) Man tjekker ind ved nabo hotellet, og det er deres faciliteter man har lov til at bruge. Deres morgenmadsbuffet inkl i værelsesprisen ( massere af valgmuligheder), poolområde og liggestole, poolhåndklæder. Fuldstændig fantastik hjemmelavet æble/annanas syltetøj med kanel og vanilje. Mmhhh - kom tidligt, den forsvinder hurtigt ;-) Rigtig god service fra personalet, tjek ind nemt og hurtigt. Alle rigtig søde :-) Næste gang ville jeg efterspørge et lagn fremfor det uldtæppe der er på værelset. Det er for varmt og krædser lidt :-) Kunne se de havde været inde og rede seng, men der var ikke blevet skiftet sengetøj eller håndklæder. Bademåtten var dog skiftet. Lidt sjovt det hele ikke bare for en omgang. Men hvis jeg havde bedt om det på hotellet, er jeg sikker på de ville have skiftet uden at tøve, men det gjorde os ikke noget.

Une homestay placé juste à côté de l'hôtel (portant le même nom). Accès à la piscine de l'hotel ! Et un buffet comme petit déjeuné. Chambre propre. Petit bémol, les serviettes de bain ne sont pas toujours propres et ne sont pas changées tous les jours (si elles sont sales).

Bra men vissa saker gjorde vår vistelse mindre bra
Första intrycket var bra, men det blev tyvärr sämre... Detta är ett homestay som tillhör ett större hotell. Man får tillgång till hotellpoolen och äter frukostbuffé där som är bra! Trevlig personal i receptionen, rummen var helt okej med tanke på priset man betalade. Men, då till det sämre... Vi bodde i rum 513, och ACn lät som bra den emellanåt! Den kunde surra lite tyst i tio min för att sedan ge ifrån sig ett ljud som nästan väckte en under natten! De gick också in och städade rummet även att man inte sagt till, visst det är väl bra - men samtidigt låg aaalla våra värdesaker framme då eftersom vi tänkte att ingen skulle gå in där... Wifiet var aningen segt men dög. Sen, till det sämsta; näst sista kvällen slutade vattnet fungera i vår dusch. Efter tre tillsägningar med x antal timmar emellan skickade de in fem män som klampade runt och smutsade ner och plockade isär hela duschen utan resultat. Receptionisten föreslog att vi skulle duscha i poolduschen... Vår sista kväll (fortfarande utan dusch) föreslog de en flytt men vi tackade nej då vi skulle åka tidigt på morgonen. I övrigt, bra ställe. Men bo inte i 513 haha.

Great place for a great price. Stayed here for two nights and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a good value. Hotel breakfast included was good, and right next to the homestay.

Do not stay here!
I have absolutely no idea how this place got such good reviews. It smelled so badly of humidity and moist. There is no real road to the place especially if it has rained. We changed hotel imedietately

Sehr günstige & einfache Zimmer
Das Vilkar- Hotelteam ist äusserst charmant, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Die Homestay-Zimmer sind etwas müffelig, da es immer etwas feucht ist durch die Klimaanlagen. Ansonsten absolut Backpacker-tauglich... auf den Gili-Inseln vebringt man die Zeit ja eh nicht im Zimmer... Die letzte Nacht habe in einem Hotelzimmer verbracht- die sind natürlich teurer, aber sehr komfortabel & schön eingerichtet.

Guesthouse-kriteereillä ihan ok. Hieman kulunut, mutta siisti. Hyvin pystyy nukkumaan ja peseytymään. Huone pieni, mutta ainakin yhdelle riittävä. Päähotellin palvelut käytössä. Kaikki lähellä.
