"No closet to hang clothes. Need instructions on how to use the tv. Had 2 remotes and no explanation as to what to do with them. Manage to turn it on but difficulty in finding a channel. "Great location. Room was clean, however, the carpets ( very much so), upholstered furniture cushions REALLY need cleaning.
Bathrooms could be cleaned more than only once a day.
Other guests were friendly.
Very funky historical building, so interesting in that regard.
The hallways were crowded with old furniture and very dusty and dirty. For safety and ease of mobility, those hallways should be open and clear.

"We stayed here for 3 nights as a family of 4 (in two rooms). The staff was accommodating, the layout of the hotel was great. We enjoyed some time at the pool, and I made use of the gym. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional! Unlike any other "hotel breakfast" you'd expect. So many options and it could get a bit chaotic if you were there during the busiest time, but still worth navigating the madness for the yummy food.

"I don’t know if it’s Expedia or the hotel, but we booked 2 queens, and those were NOT queen beds. When I asked the guy at the desk, he said they were. But we measured them! Definitely not queen sized. So just know if you are booking 2 queens, they will be full sized.
Also, the room was pretty hot, and there is no air conditioning. The fan was very dinky and loud.
No microwave or fridge in the room, just so you are aware. I don’t believe the description said there were, but I didn’t look...

"We stayed here for 5 days (2 adults 2 teenagers). At check in we were told there is no contention breakfast since the restaurant is now open and we have a $10 off credit which we never used. When we got to the room, there was no microwave and no fridge. There was no ac just a ceiling fan. We couldn't even open the window because it was screwed shut. That was awesome! The pool was okay. The beds weren't the best. The bathroom door didn't shut unless you slammed it. The hot water was never hot...

"I’ll start by saying The Lodge operates best when Leveena is working the front desk. I hope I spelled her name correctly. She took amazing care of my needs as I was recently out of a major surgery and was not able to walk.
On her days off, The Lodge seemed understaffed, and certain things did not work smoothly, starting with trying to reach the front desk. One night it took nearly two hours for someone to be available to bring me ice.
The restaurant next door suffered through similar staffing...

"Beautiful historic, loved its charm and location to the park across the street.
Older hotel, so it did not have air-conditioning. During our trip it was pretty overcast and chilly, but our bedroom got very hot during the night. We had to use multiple portable fans.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We got the one bedroom suite, perfect amount of room for our family of four."

"Small indoor pool that smelled overloaded with chlorine.
A/C wasn't working and hotel sent us a box fan that was so noisy you couldn't watch tv or sleep.
Construction noise was very loud and woke us up every morning by 8 o'clock clock.
Room also was right over the trash bins so more noise with that.
Bar was out of Chardonnay so was given an inferior white which cost us $12 per glass including tax. A little over the top with that price for not very good wine.
