"Great location. Rooms were good. Enjoyed having the kitchenette with full size fridge. Parking was a little tricky as the lot behind does fill up but there is a parking garage available too and street parking. Breakfast was the average hotel fare. I would stay here again."

"Parking isn't easy in town and vallet ends at 11pm, plan accordingly. Also an odd layout to get to certain rooms due to the building's original purpose. Get past that and this place is amazing. Friendly staff, clean, beautiful, right in the middle of everything on the river walk. Broken keel restaurant is awesome right under the hotel, yes, under lol. The river boat tours are right outside. I don't think we'll ever stay anywhere else when we visit Savanna"

"Excellent River View Room for July 4th Fireworks We chose the JW Marriott Plant Riverside District specifically for the July 4th fireworks, and the river view room delivered exactly what we hoped for. The fireworks are set off from a barge in the Savannah River directly in front of the Savannah Convention Center, which is almost straight across from the hotel — so our room had a clear, unobstructed view of the whole show. The kids loved being able to watch it all from the window while avoiding the huge crowds below on River Street. The location is ideal: you're right on the riverfront with restaurants, live music, and shops in the Plant Riverside District. During our stay we also took a dinner cruise on the Savannah Riverboat, which boards nearby — good food, nice views of the waterfront, and something the whole family enjoyed. Overall, a memorable Independence Day weekend. Tip for future guests: request a river view room and book well in advance for July 4th — it's worth it for the fireworks alone."
