Great location, easy to get around and nice local restaurants. Had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the street. Hotel is dated and a few inexpensive changes could make a big difference without a major refurb. First world problems but room was really hot. Turned rad off in room but can’t control heated towel rail and other rooms. Leaving balcony doors open helped to combat. Breakfast was a good mix with eggs, toast, fruit, pasties and yogurt.

Very convenient for a few days of exploring around the Old Town. The rooms were very quiet. The breakfast could do with a little ramping up. Over all a great stay, close to all we wanted to see.

Convenient location + budget friendly
In Geneva for a day on a family vacation. The location was budget friendly and convenient so that we could walk everywhere including to the train station. The staff were very welcoming. They provided a spot to store our gear until our room was available. They even provided hot water and cups so we could enjoy a cup of tea in our room at the end of the day.

Washing Smalls
A pleasant small hotel situated close to the lake and the old town. It's about a 15 minutes to walk to get there from the main railway station. The area it was in was quiet with a good range of restaurants within easy walking distance to choose from. The room was small but comfortable and we slept well on the comfortable bed. The bathroom was slightly odd as the shower head was mounted about 1.3metre high....obviously this showering facility was designed with Snow Whites friends in mind!! A breakfast buffet was included which had a good range of options to choose from.

The location of the hotel is great plus. It is near city center. You can either walk (15 - 20 minutes) or take a bus (5 - 10 minutes) to the city center. Bus 6 is so near to the hotel and takes you directly to the city center. There also so many affordable cafes in the neighborhood where you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Migros supermarket is also near and you can get almost anything there. The area is so safe and the lake and fountain are just on the corner of the hotel. This is a huge plus as well. The only downside is that there is no coffee/tea kettle in the room. However, you may order from room service at an affordable price. Also not all rooms are spacious. Our room size was good, because we were upgraded :) However, not all rooms are that size.

The hotel is in an amazing location, staff is super friendly and nice and the rooms are nice. The bathroom is a little small and the tub is VERY slippery but overall glad we picked The Churchill Hotel

The hotel is only rated 2 stars and not 4 stars as mentioned on your site.... I asked the staff and they told me that it is not 4 stars. The bathroom is bad as when the water comes out and the bathroom is filled with water and there is no drainage of water and the towels are very old and there is only one box for the head and body The room is not clean You hear the sounds of the rooms next to you, you hear it as if it were you There is no heat, no tea, no coffee, no water.

First, if you are looking for a fancy four star hotel, then this isn't it. What it is is simple but decent standard, with comfortable beds, decent air conditioning (a necessity in Geneva in the summer), helpful staff, and in an ideal location (peaceful neighbourhood, but right by Jet d'Eau and close to all the sights - and near a mouette boat landing place). Would definitely stay here again, far better than being in the noise and traffic on the other side of the lake. Don't bother with the breakfast, there are plenty of bakeries and cafes around, and on a nice day you can eat in the park or by the lake. Don't forget to ask for your free travel pass (which you get for paying the city tax) which works on the busses, trams, and mouette boats.

Great location and decent price, but that’s it. The air conditioning was broken for half our stay. The hairdryer had several rips in the tubing so that it was unusable. The pipes in the bathroom made an endless screeching sound whether on or off. We were not offered the standard Blue card for public transportation and then we’re never emailed it after asking for it. Would not stay again. Doesn’t look like it’s been updated since Churchill was last in Geneva.
