"As someone who truly appreciates history, I found this stay to be incredibly charming. The Inn has a rich historical feel, and that character is very much part of the experience…which I personally loved. The parking is conveniently located right in front of the Inn, and the air conditioning worked well, which made the stay comfortable. It’s important to come with the right expectations, this is a historic property, and while some updates have been made, it doesn’t have every modern upgrade we’re all used to. A little patience and understanding go a long way..but in return, you get a unique and authentic experience. The location is wonderful..very central, with a beautiful park nearby, along with pickleball and tennis courts. The surrounding neighborhood is perfect for walking, with lovely homes and a peaceful atmosphere.
Overall, a charming stay for anyone who enjoys historic properties and their unique character."

"I had a wonderful stay at the Plaza Travel Inn. The air-conditioning worked great (which is so important in Florida), and the room was clean, comfortable, and just what I needed. Parking was easy and conveniently located right nearby, which made everything that much smoother.
The staff was very helpful and welcoming, and you can tell they truly care about their guests.
I will absolutely be staying here again and would happily recommend it to others.

"I would not recommend staying here. We were supposed to stay for three nights but left after one night because it was so bad. Lots of things broken in the room and in disrepair. Very dirty. Very gross! We only stayed the one night as we got in at 12:30 am from traveling and were very tired. "

"It is only the second hotel to offer boat trailer parking with electric hook up to charge batteries. I will most definitely be staying there again the next time I’m in Okeechobee. It looks like recent renovations have been done. The room was very clean and comfortable. I love a room that has a refrigerator and microwave."
