Room was great as usual. The remodel is very nice. The only issue we had was with the a/c - changing the temperature on the remote control did not seem to make any difference on the actual unit. The room was comfortable during the day, but we like it pretty cold when we sleep and so we woke up too hot during the night most of the nights we were there.

The property is an old-style motel, but the rooms have been updated and are very lovely and cute, with plenty of K-cups and towels. My only complaint in the tiny, and I mean tiny (one can), refrigerator. Rooms need a small usable fridge, and a microwave would be a bonus. I would stay there again, no problem. The staff was very kind and accommodating.

Pretty poor condition of interior of room and shower. Clean linens and comfortable bed but shower did not have hot water and facility was not able to fix promptly. Un-painted drywall patches, front door had noticeable gap around the door.

My 2nd stay at Gainesville Lodge. It’s conveniently located for my visits. Safe, Clean, Parking, walk to restaurants. Not stylish or modern, rooms are dated & a little dark. Quite ok for a short stay.

This is a fairly basic motel but perfectly fine, clean and comfortable, in an unbeatable location downtown. Rooms are set back a bit from the street so they stay quiet. The parking is enclosed and seems very secure. For me the biggest drawback was loud and fairly ineffective air-conditioning (although it did work). I would definitely stay again.
