"Staff were very friendly & helpful. Hotel was clean but you can tell it's somewhat old and needs some cosmetic refreshing. Beds were a bit hard but I like soft anyhow but yet still good condition. Our rooms each had a small patio looking out at the canal. Could use a small table and 2 chairs to have first cup of coffee in the morning. "

"Positive: Staff were wonderful at front desk, breakfast room staff was amazing, housekeeping was good. Breakfast was great, especially strawberry preserves for waffles. Improvements needed: Room with two beds had two doubles, not two queens so was close quarters. Pool was not in service so was disappointing as that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel."

"Great location close to all the cute shops and local eateries. Easy access to highway and short drive to Kanata and Ottawa as well as many great things to see in Ottawa Valley. More convenient and better value than the local hotels. Full kitchen is really well equipped and newer which also helps save on eating out. The host was very responsive and helpful but never intrusive. Perfect spot for checking out this picturesque little town. "
