We had a nicestay, our room was newly renovated and very clean. Otherwise the property itself is pretty old and a lot of flies inside. Staff are super busy and we waited over two hours from our dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast was ok but again, so many flies inside. We know that the building itself is older and has a charm to it for being old and kind of historic. But it could use a bit of a refresh.
I used the hotel for a pit stop so didn't use amenities or interact too much with staff. Great location for a visit to the area. Would stay here again!!
What a fabulous stay! Mary greeted us as we arrived and she and her staff met all of our expectations! And then some….
The property itself is stunning. The rooms tastefully appointed with such comfy beds. The food incredible - tastiest salmon I’ve had! The entertainment fabulous. We absolutely loved our stay at the Cove. It felt so homey from checkin to dinner to the lovely continental breakfast in the morning. A truly memorable experience. We hope to return!
Place has so much potential. Rooms need better cleaning dusting behind fridge and bed especially . Food is excellent but service is very slow. Location is greatl
Lovely old buildings with modern amenities. Excellent food, and large outside patio seating.

The property is very old but reasonably well maintained. It has a historic feel to it and is nicely located near the lake and some interesting shops.
Our room was on the second floor. The wooden floor had some floorboards that were lightly damaged and it was unlevel. The airconditioner in our room was a bit noisy so we only turned it on when the room seemed stuffy. In addition, our room was next to the squeaky door into the 2nd floor
hallway.
Seemed a bit expensive for what it is.
Avoid room #33 if a band is playing in the restaurant below.
It was our 33th anniversary and wanted to reserve a nice place for my wonderful wife. We had had day trips to Wesport before and now wanted a weekend getaway.
We arrived Friday night around 7:45pm, tired of a long workweek and drive. The reception told us “because you reserved via Expedia, we are putting you in room above the stage. It was room #3. She explained there would be a band playing that night and tomorrow night. We asked if it would be loud, and she said not really, it would be muffled and “just turn the tv”. We thought it was a joke; it wasn’t. The band sounded as ifit was at the foot of our bed. They played until 11pm. Fine, it was good Music, but still very loud.
The room was very nice, generally quite clean, but there were coke and sprite bottles open in the fridge. The double bed wasn’t too comfortable but fine.
The location is great and the inn is really nice; I hate to leave such review but being told we get the worse room because we reserved via Expedia was disheartening. We felt we were placed in the penalty box.
Once the band finished. The noise died down a little and eventually it was very quiet in the village. We really love the location and village but would tell everyone to avoid rooms #33 and even #32 if a band is playing. Breakfast was nice and a continental. The people there are also very nice. But let’s say it was not really the 33th anniversary I was hoping for.
