"We had such a wonderful stay at The Forest with our baby Soleil on her very first trip to St. Maarten 🌿✨ The Forest is a beautiful boutique hotel, tucked away in the mountains on the quieter side of the island—perfect if you’re looking for peace and relaxation. Our room was comfortable and very spacious (honestly, more space than we needed since we love being out and exploring!), but it made our stay feel extra luxurious. One of our favourite parts was the private outdoor area. We spent time just sitting outside, enjoying the cool tradewinds and soaking in the hot tub—such a peaceful vibe. The food was also a highlight. Breakfast was always filling and delicious, and everything we had was well prepared and satisfying. Our host was incredibly pleasant and accommodating, and the staff were all so warm and friendly, which made the experience even better. We rented a vehicle, so getting around the island was easy despite being nestled in the hills. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and made such special memories for Soleil’s first trip. We would definitely return and highly recommend The Forest to anyone visiting St. Maarten 💚"

"The staff was gracious and friendly...always polite and quick help. The restaurant had a great tropical and private vibe, with views of the beach. The food was very good, very fresh and well presented. Staff on the beach were equally as attentive, with standard lounge seating complimentary. Be sure to make a reservation though! Multiple restaurants within walking distance with high quality food and drinks. Scattered shops and a small convenience store. The hotel had a secluded feel despite being immediately adjacent to other buildings. The rooms were quiet inside and this helped as a popular restaurant /bar is just a few minutes nearby on the beach. The rooms had views of the beach, were exactly as pictured. Highly recommend staying here, I would definitely stay here again! "

"Travelled to GCBC with my mom as my companion for a short vacation, we cannot say enough good things. Our room was very clean, quiet and spacious, it felt very new, we had a garden view. The kitchen was well appointed we had everything that could be needed to stay in and prepare meals, full size fridge/freezer and even an oven! Beaches are perfect for swimmers of all ages, the water was calm even during what turned out to be very windy week on the island. There are lots of families and children but we never felt like it was too noisy or rambunctious, the resort does a great job of having little quiet corners hidden here and there to settle into if you’d prefer some solitude. There is snorkel gear, floats, paddle boards available free of charge and excursions like diving and sunset cruises can be arranged right on site. There is a large ice machine and filtered water available throughout the resort, the restaurant had very good food, we ate there twice, but the absolute best thing is the location. We walked into the village of Grand Case every night. It’s very safe, the streets there and back are filled with other families walking in for the excellent restaurants and shopping. We had a car and had no trouble parking, which is included, and there are laundry facilities on site which are also included, convenient if you are staying for a longer period of time. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times and we truly cannot wait to return. "

"We really wanted to leave a good review of Villa du Kapress because the staff were so lovely and overall the villa is really nice, we also had one of our best meals here while we were on St.Maarten. The Villa was also nicely located so we’re weren’t right in the craziness, but a short drive away. But, there were somethings that took away from our experience. We weren’t given any towels in our room for the stay, and the bedding in the rooms was a bit stained. It did feel a bit untidy around the Villa in common spaces too. On our last night there, the Villa hosted a wedding. We were not informed of this and there was loud music from the Wedding until 2 AM. It would have been nice to be informed. And lastly, I did get food poisoning from our breakfast on the last morning. It was the only place my boyfriend and I ate slightly differently, and I was the only one who got sick. Again, we wanted to give this place a good reviews, because it does feel like a paradise when you look around, but there were a few pieces that really took away from our stay. "

"Room not ready, was brushed aside and waited two hours for room and I checked in at 5pm already enough time to have it cleaned. Finally got into room was 7pm! Garbage receptionist and old outdated hotel"
