"We are confused as to how this B&B has such good reviews. We booked it based on these reviews, our need for tranquility and the pool. Firstly, we were surprised that the parking was on the opposite side of the road - it’s an open space in front of the church. Arriving at the front door, we were shocked to see an overflowing ashtray – not a good first impression. Top French Basque Country Hotel Reviews

Hotel Marbella

8/10 Good

"Breakfast isn’t worth the price, you can find better for same price all over town. Other than that. My stay was pleasant"

Hotel le Windsor Grande Plage Biarritz

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel was lovely, the room was clean, comfortable and well presented, and everything was just perfect for our stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. A great location and a really enjoyable experience all round. We couldn’t fault it and would happily stay again. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

Hôtel du Pont d'Ascain

10/10 Excellent

"This was a lovely little hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view from the balcony of our room. Breakfast was good. The hotel doesn't do evening meals but it was only a short walk into Ascain where there were plenty of bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay, would recommend and would return again when in the area"

Résidence Mer & Golf

8/10 Good

"As you will see from the other reviews the hotel is a bit delapidated, but our room was clean and comfortable. Comfy beds, excellent view, helpful staff. The pool was great, the kids loved it. Brilliant location near the beach and on a bus route. If you want a super smart hotel go somewhere else, but I thought it was fine."
