"Terrific theming, the hotel looks like a colonial or Civil War area building. White columns, rugs, furniture, and even has a cannon in the lobby.
Less than 10 minutes from the battlefield and Gettysburg town center."
"Room was comfortable. Slight moldy smell in bathroom. There was some remolding or roof repairs being done so there was some construction noise. Staff was extremely kind and courteous."
"Great property - embassy suites always top notch.
My visit was marred two nights in a row - 1st with crazy wild loud party in the atrium, heard in every guest room, until almost midnight.
2nd, a fella had a major breakdown, screaming at top voice at the lady with him (again, heard by every room) for about an hour. Eventually police were summoned, and the gentleman was escorted from the premises.
Strange thing though - both morning front desk persons claimed they had not heard anything about either incident.
Now, I've worked in hotels, and everybody knows what happens and where in a hotel.
I found it strange that embassy suites staff would disavow knowledge of two incidents that every guest in the hotel heard - to my face, no less.
No apology, no perk, no partial refund - nothing.
I may think twice before booking embassy suites again."
Studio 6 Corporate Extended Stay Washington, D.C. Germantown MD
8/10 Good
"The cost of the room was very inexpensive, so we didn't have high expectations to begin with. Unfortunately, there were additional charges a t check-in because we stayed for less than a week they amounted to almost $5 extra dollars per day. When booking an extended stay with a kitchenette, we assumed there would be dishes. We were told that there would have been an additional charge for them, but the staff suggested that we purchase our own because the quality of what they offer was so low.
They also didn't have enough towels and washcloths for each of us, and they would not provide any extra (although they did wash ours for us and returned them within 3 hours). The floor of the room was sticky; we had to purchase a Swiffer mop to clean it ourselves."
"1. It was a great value compared to other hotels in the area
2. The rooms could use updating
3. The breakfast was not great. The eggs and sausage were not good, but there are other options, so all in all, breakfast was okay at best."
