Top notch
Top notch hotel, with great staff and all at a reasonable price in a good location close to local businesses which in my case could be walked to. Excellent transport links airport shuttle every 30 minutes from the nearby train station for €10 is perfect for international guests.

nice hotel, modern setup, good vibes. The only issue is that free parking requires some searching (paid parking is available).

Room very small, no dresser, barely room for laptop on tiny stand, no laundry service. But staff super friendly and helpful, hotel very clean.

I liked how they had food and drink options 24 hrs. The shower and bed were nice. The curtains did not block out all the light in the mornings. Some staff were friendly some were not. Lots of different sauce options in dining area. Breakfast was affordable at 7 euro. It was not clear that guest could not park in the basement. There was a Moxy hotel sign for that garage so I parked there. Staff shouldn’t get mad at me if it was open and allowed me to park there.

Good Hotel but some AC problems during my stay
The Hotel is kinda new and the staff is polite and very good at all. Unfortunately the Hotel air condition was not working as expected and it kinda heated up my room. Woke up several times the night to 25° and woke up at 28° in the morning. Had no real good rest because of this.

Schlechte Administration!Zu hohe Preise verrechnet
Ich hatte 2 Zimmer gebucht, meines wurde im System von Moxy aus unerfindlichen Gründen einige Zeit vor meiner Ankunft storniert. Bei Hotels.com schien es aber als reserviert auf. Ich bekam dann zwar ein Zimmer, das war aber nicht so einfach. Es wurde die Superviserin angerufen, die scheinbar nur Englisch sprechen konnte (und arbeitet bei der Kette in Deutschland!). Am Ende wurden deutlich höhere Preise verrechnet als ich gebucht hatte und das Versprechen, dass die Differenz zurückgebucht wird, wurde nicht eingehalten. Es wurde nur ein Teilbetrag refundiert, eine neue Rechnung bekam ich auch nicht. Also hier gibt es einige Probleme! Sie waren zwar nett, aber es war einfach nur nervend. Der Fehler lag ja einddeutig bei Moxy!

We felt very welcome in the hotel. Very friendly staff, space theme in the hotel was on point. Loved the Star Wars references - real attention for detail all around the hotel. Rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and rainshower was lovely as well. Breakfast was really good, glad to see they even had gluten free options! Darmstadt centre was a 30 minute walk, easy to find. Overall we were really satisfied with our stay and will definitely come back soon!

Moxy tends to be a decent chain due to the fun interiors at reasonable rates, however they seem to have declined somewhat over the pandemic. There were several hairs that were obviously not mine in the bathroom & the bathroom in general had the most pungent nauseating smell of male perfume or after shave. It didn’t come from the hygienic articles & it didn’t subside over the course of my stay so I’m assuming it must’ve been intentional room smell. If that’s the case I [almost weekly female business traveler] don’t appreciate the discrimination.
