  • Glass Beach is a beach in MacKerricher State Park near Fort Bragg, California, that is abundant in sea glass created from years of dumping garbage into an area of coastline near the northern part of the town. Once upon a time the sand was coated in brightly colored bits of sea glass, and social media is full of photos that make it look as if the sand still looks that way, but that isn't the case. Over the years the public has raided the beach of much of its glass. Now at first look, some might say it looks like any other ordinary beach. Yes you can still find glass here, but you have to look for it, and most of colored glass is long gone. It all makes for a fun little treasure hunt however! Beautiful view! The hotel was quiet! Everything was close by! They gave me a wrong room but they refunded me back the appropriate amount and for the mistake they gave me gifts. Really was not necessary we fell in love with the room we ended up in! Definitely will be back again!

We had an absolutely fabulous view. Super fun property. Really liked the grab and go breakfast. Room really nice. Too warm to use the fireplace but it looked wonderful.

I highly recommend staying here the view is amazing and the staff was very pleasant the only issue I had and it wasn’t even a issue but the room was so hot and they don’t have ac but other then that it’s a great place to stay defiantly check it out

Our stay was great. Loved the view and the jetted tub. The only downside was no air conditioning. Living in Sacramento makes it hard to sleep without the A/C but the box fan did help. The box fan was like a white noise machine and helped me sleep well. Definitely worth the money!

Great view

Really enjoyed the view and this location is close to restaurants. Also a short drive to Mendocino. Minor downsides: parking area is cramped, you will have to use stairs to access any room, no elevator.
