"Great location and proper English style Country pub. Friendly and welcoming, good range of beers, wines and spirits. Food superb particularly the full English breakfast. Room spacious and comfortable with modern shower and bathroom. All round too stay, thanks. "

"requested for a lower floor room and was given one 104 a lovely room but traffic is noisy nothing much the hotel can do about that but you can keep the window shut and use the fan supplied, Staff are VERY helpful and friendly the food is very tasty and a good choice, Have stayed there before and will be going back again"

"What a lovely Inn, it was excellent service throughout and the friendly staff made it a very enjoyable stay. The rooms are spacious and clean with excellent ablutions. The food was delicious. especially at breakfast and evening dining. It has a lovely beer garden and grape vines hanging in the conservatory. Easy driving distance from Convy. Highly recommended for people wanting to centralise their stay in North Wales. We will definitely hope to stay at the Groes Inn again."

"We stayed at The Ship for a special wedding anniversary. It’s an exceptional hotel in a wonderful area which has a unique atmosphere. The hotel food is good with a menu that changes over the seasons. The breakfast is very good and there is plenty of choice from pastries and cereals to full English. The rooms are well furnished and comfy and the tea, coffee and biscuits topped up daily. For bird watchers the estuary is worth a visit and in the room we chose the hotel thoughtfully provided...

"Does what it says on the tin, all good no complaints. Special mention to reception and cleaners, asked each morning if anywas needed the room."

"Staff were fantastic, meals were really well presented, good value and fresh. Rooms were quiet, really comfortable and cosy. They smell so fresh, unlike the usual pub bedrooms I have stayed in."
