We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and having a blast in Justice in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
