"Upon approaching the lodge, we were appalled at the condition of the building. It was run down and the landscaping needed attention. We were also very surprised to read a note on the outside of room saying that all Finger Lakes Lodging guests must register at the Mirbeau Inn & Spa down the road. We did as the note requested and went down to the spa. I wasn't very far away. Upon approaching the front desk I was asked how I was today. I said very disappointed in the condition of the building...

"Rating: 2.5–3 stars This property sits in an absolutely beautiful location with stunning views of the lake and the hills to the west. The sunsets are truly incredible, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The front yard has a lot of charm and potential, though the grass was noticeably overgrown during my stay. The experience itself was unusual. I was greeted briefly by someone who handed me the key, but after that I didn’t see a single staff member, and there’s no real reception...
