Hotel Dekat Fig Tree Island

"The hot tub was green and the pool was in such disrepair it felt unsafe to even get in with chlorine tablets sitting right at the return and the light hanging out by the wire and sitting on the pool edge. With this being the only 2 search criteria I chose it was very disappointing to say the least. Also the room we were giving had a missing smoke alarm the wire was there hanging from the ceiling however. "Upon check-in, we did not get the 2 room types we reserved which were 2 queens in each and to compromise, we were given a 3rd room. But all rooms were single bed with pullout bed and not close to each other. This required my family to completely split up and wife and I to separate along with the kids. This caused a big inconvenience as we share toiletries, food, etc."

Upon arrival I was told my reservation was changed to a smoking queen bedroom, I accepted due to it being late at night. The room was DISGUSTING with stained sheets and it REEKED. "Very large, clean room. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Very interesting history behind the two townhomes that were connected to make this hotel. Wish there had been a fridge and microwave in the room. Bar was not open since the season had not started yet, although we stayed just days before Memorial Day weekend. Great location, very walkable and safe. Would certainly stay again."
