"Had a lovely weekend here. This hotel was perfect. Nice and quiet but lively enough to provide a pleasant ambiance without ever being noisy or overbearing. Staff throughout were lovely and the food is very good. Would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to get away and relax."

"Staff and room were lovely and the breakfast was excellent. Comfortable bed. There's some design flaws, for example you can't fill the kettle up at the sink without the water coming out as you try to extract it. Nothing major though. It's not that pet friendly. It would have been nice to have a drink in the bar but that would have meant leaving the dog in the car so we went somewhere else for a drink."

"It is a nice place especially for the younger person. The dining room was very large and doubled as the bar. Plenty of parking at the front including some disabled bays. It stands adjacent to a main road and a little distance to nearby shops but buses run passed it so , if you haven't got a car it's take a bus or a taxi. We stayed for a couple of nights and had no problems at all."

"Breakfast Room was a bonus. Excellent choice of food, etc and helpful, friendly staff. Irregularities between Website and reality - Website says first come, first served for car parking- I parked in an empty space but was asked to move because it was already allocated. No cones across the space. Also Website says parking fee of £1-50pm per hour charged after 11am on checking out. I asked for two extra hours but was told this was not available because I was checking out on a Saturday. No mention...

Check in was easy, with info forwarded the morning of, so we could just get in, get the keys, and be on with our day. The proprietor let us check out later for a good price as my partner was unwell and needed extra time to recover. We appreciate the exceptional hospitality."
