Antler Arch is the Gateway to Downtown Fairbanks. The arch is made up of over 100 antlers that have been collected from all over Interior Alaska. (September 2016)
The gleaming spires reaching skyward near the banks of the Chena River in downtown Fairbanks, Alaska, look like ice crystals or quartz crystals. The longest piece reach up to about 11m (36’). Named the “Polaris”, at night when the multicoloured lights reflect on the highly-polished steel surface, it looks like northern lights dancing in the sky. (September 2016)

送迎のシャトルが良かったです。 ただ、空港に到着してスーツケースをピックアップしたあと電話した時は何度掛けても繋がりませんでした。おそらく同じタイミングで空港に到着した他のお客さんが先に呼んでいたようです。空港のホテルシャトルの出入り口は1ヶ所なのでホテルの名前が呼ばれてすぐに気づくことができました。

Chena Hot Springs Resort offers a large variety of activities year-round. One of those is snow shoeing, both a fantastic and frusterating experience lol you can rent a pair at their activity center for $7.50/hr or a flat $25 a day. There are several trails around the resort ranging from an easy walk to a strenuous climb. This one was the mountain ridge trail, a 3 mile easy walk around the resort that held some pretty fantastic views, especially at sunset. Once you master the art of moving in a snow shie, its a surprisingly enjoyable way to spend the afternoon! :)
