Comfortable and great location
Room was well supplied and host was very accommodating with late check out request. Only thing that would make it better was some lighting above the coffee table area as it's very dark at night and a brighter bulb above the bathroom sink.

East Poinet @ the Zen!
The East Pointe home was great! The place was very clean and updated, and the beds slept great! Will definitely consider this on our next trip to Eureka Springs!

There was no jacuzzi as stated. The parking situation was terrible. Parking at street level rarely open. Parking lot in the back requires 5 flights of stairs. The heating furnace is only in living room, leaving back bedroom and bath freezing. No aroma therapy. No wood burning fireplace. Great view on the deck. Bed were comfortable. Nice music. Love the decking lights. Also, convenient location. It’s no I was. Cost was too high considering most things.

Hi Lauren,We are sorry you felt misled by the home you booked. There are 10 properties under the Eureka Zen ñame, each with its own amenities, which are spelled out on the side. We do have jacuzzi homes, and homes with hot tubs. You booked a two bedroom home that does not have a hot tub or jacuzzi. We have searched the listing, and do not see where the home advertises a jacuzzi. . On the day you booked the property, you received a text asking for your email address. In that text, we explained that you would get an email, and we asked that you carefully read the email that described the home you booked and the amenities of the home to ensure that you booked the home you intended. You then received four other emails detailing your home, amenities and check in process. We always hope that our guests are happy with their stay, and we try to do everything in our power to ensure that happens. We are sorry if we were remiss in any way.

Hi there! Yes, our homes are in historic downtown Eureka Springs and all are from the Victorian era. All have been renovated, most in the last 2-3 years. Since this is an anonymous posting, we cannot tell which home you stayed in. Privacy is important, no we are checking each of the homes to ensure they all windows are covered. We are sorry that you arrived and chose not to stay with us based on the parking. We immediately drove to the property and found the the free parking spots on the street in front of the home empty, and the parking lot behind the home also empty. Additionally, we offered a significant free upgrade to another property that has a parking lot next to the home. Again, we are sorry that we could not accommodate you this time.

Our staff mentioned that you were surprised by the stairs, but that they offered to carry your bags to your room. Unfortunately, these old Victorians do not have elevators. :(. . There is something magical about this place. I had the best, deepest, and longest sleep I’ve had in years. All the the worries and angst that I carry with me dissipated. This is the place.

Lots of mosquitoes & porch sitting area look as if it had not been cleaned at all for the season. So we could not enjoy the outdoor area.😢 Needs bug torches & cleaned.

Confirm you are getting a hot tub and fireplace
A bit unhappy. I feel like I was duped by clever advertising . I booked this cottage for a weekend anniversary trip and chose this place because it had a fireplace and a hot tub. It had neither. Regarding the hot tub, in all fairness it did not directly list one for our room type. The pictures show a hot tub which I was later told , some ( two) units actually have a hot tub but were booked. The Premium cottage I booked was not one of those. The fireplace is still listed a room feature but there is not one. Since the nights were 20 degrees, this was an issue for me. Now for the good. It is a charming little cottage that is well kept up and adequately furnished. The location was great and we had a wonderful weekend.

Hi Sean, we are sorry that there was confusion at your time of booking. Eureka Zen is comprised of eleven distinct properties in downtown Eureka Springs. All are different, with different pricing and (of course) availability. You chose our one bedroom apartment with spa shower. On the day you booked your property, you received an email that explained all of the details of the property that you booked, including location, layout, amenities, etc. You subsequently received two more emails, welcoming you, and explaining further details about the property you rented prior to your stay. On the day on your check in you called, and admitted that you had not looked at a single email that we had sent, including the confirmation email sent at the moment of booking. We are terribly sorry that you did not receive the property that you expected. However, we do not feel that you were intentionally “duped”. We feel that we go the extra mile to ensure our guests are happy, and would have definitely offered to switch, refund, or even find you another property in Eureka Springs had read your emails and noticed that you booked a home that did not have the amenities you were looking for. Waiting until the moment of check in to notice these things makes it very hard to make things right. Please come see us again sometime, and we will be happy to accommodate you in a home with a hot tub and fireplace. We’ll even buy you drinks at our favorite restaurant!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Bamboo Suite of Lotus House. The location was very tranquil and you could walk to downtown in about 15 minutes. They have dedicated parking for each suite and an easy check-in process. Keep in mind that this is a 100 year old home, so floors squeak and doors are sometimes difficult to close, but it adds to the character. If you book one of the upstairs suites (Bamboo or Reflections) be aware the stairwell is narrow which could be difficult to maneuver a large bulky suitcase. Overall, a really nice property.

The pictures are misleading. No joke!! No jacuzzi. The tub was so small I could not fit my legs in. This was not a “cottage”, we were in a dilapidated old home in a basement room. The dishes had food and lipstick stains.The glasses were dirty and one was cracked and cut my hand. The fireplace smelled of gas the entire time. I don’t know where the pictures of the beautiful kitchen came from it was smaller then a closet and there was only a toaster oven and a mini fridge. The upstairs “guests” were an absolute nightmare!! Stomping and slamming doors. The bed was an old spring hard mattress. One very thin cover. This was no zen experience. The stairs to get to the space were mossy, tiny, steep and wet and had broken railings. Very dangerous. Not a good experience at all. The best part was the back porch because at least we weren’t inhaling fumes from the tiny gas box “fireplace”. I washed all the dirty dishes after being woke by the banging and stomping again at 5 am we gathered our items and left exhausted.

Hi Misty, It certainly sounds as if we may have missed our mark during your stay! But first.. please let me address your statement about the photos being misleading. There are eleven Eureka Zen homes, most on the same street in Eureka Springs. All have many photos showing each of its rooms and amenities. Many have jacuzzis, hot tubs, and other spa amenities. You chose to stay in our one budget property, which does have a claw foot tub and shower, but not a jacuzzi. We have confirmed that the photos of this property clearly reflect that. So it appears that there was some confusion at the time of booking. We did waive our three night minimum to allow you to stay a single night in this property, which appears to have been a mistake on our part. We spoke our housekeeping team, and they recall the rush to get you in so that you could enjoy your one day in Eureka Springs. We are so very sorry if this anomaly in our standard procedure resulted in less than perfect conditions. That is never our intention! upon arrival, you received a welcome letter asking you to call or text us if everything was not exactly perfect. We have staff on standby at all times, just in case there is something that we can rectify. The cleaning team would have rushed in to make certain anything that was overlooked was addressed, the neighbors upstairs would have been spoken to immediately, and you would have received a gift certificate to our family restaurant, Grotto Wood Fired Grill and Wine Cave. We searched our call and text records, and saw no communication from you whatsoever. Certainly, the opportunity to make your experience in Eureka Springs wonderful existed, even if you were initially disappointed. We certainly would have loved the opportunity to have made that happen for you. Even after the fact, we would have investigated and offered a complimentary night to come back to one of our homes to show you how great we CAN be. But saying nothing, then leaving a one-star review does not encourage us to be gracious.

We are terribly sorry that you did not Ike our memory foam mattress. Many years in the innkeeping business has taught us that there is no one-size-fits-all for mattress comfort, and what suits many perfectly is horrible to others. We do replace our mattresses every six months to ensure they are always fresh. However, we did offer to move you to any one of several other cottages, including a significant upgrade, to make sure that you had a terrific experience with us. We are so sorry that you did not decide to allow us to make everything perfect for you.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Wishing Star. The check in could not have been easier. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed coffee on the back porch in the morning and a short walk to Rogues Manor for dinner. Will definitely stay at any Eureka Zen Cottage again.

Nice quiet place with a sitting area in the room. Check out is 10 am which is earlier than most, but the host easily gave us an extension to 11. The 10 am check out makes it very difficult to do anything before loading up.

The location is good, the grounds are nice, with a lovely courtyard in back. Designated parking - a PLUS in Eureka Springs. I love having an apartment-sized lodging space, and this one was furnished adequately. Soft music and scented diffuser greeted us. The rooms could have been a bit cleaner. Please note that although children are not permitted, there is NO on-site mgmt to enforce this. Had a small herd of children staying above us for one night. Just be aware of this. Otheriwise, a pleasant stay and I would RECOMMEND.

We are so sorry for the disruption in your relaxing atmosphere at Lotus House. Children are not allowed, and each guest receives a number of correspondences from us with this policy. Unfortunately, not all guests follow our policy. When you called to make us aware that there were children in the home, we immediately spoke the guests, and they agreed to quiet their children immediately. We relocated the guests to a family-friendly property the first thing the following morning. Again, we are so sorry. Eureka Zen is all about relaxation, and having loud children in the unit above you is definitely NOT relaxing. Please consider coming back again when you need some Eureka-style relaxation, and allowing us to add a complimentary third night to your stay.

The relaxing atmosphere of the Lotus house is amazing. Walking distance to downtown but it’s a .3 mile uphill walk to get back so only for mobile people. It was an amazing get away.

Very nice cozy place. Ample room with a well equipped kitchen. The place was clean. Everything was nicely done. The bathroom was not in the best shape compared to the rest of the unit (jacuzzi tub/ shower). I really enjoyed it but thought the cost was slightly high for what it was. However, I have nothing to compare it to. Overall, very nice.
