The hotel was easy to find from the station, and located near restaurants and a supermarket. The hotel was a little older but very clean. The WiFi worked well in both the room and the public areas. The staff was helpful and polite. The room was a standard room, it was well kept and had good amenities.
Good value hotel with friendly staff. One was very helpful when the washing machine didn’t work. He tried to resolve it and when he couldn’t, offered to look after my washing while we went out to eat. For a budget hotel the room was bigger than most. Although the large breakfast buffet wasn’t mostly to our taste we found plenty to eat and the coffees was good.
Ena was just a stop on our journey from Hakuba to Osaka. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the train station. The front desk staff was very good, the beds were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was wonderful (a nice mix of Western and Japanese food). We also ate dinner at the hotel. It was reasonably priced and delicious! Would definitely stay here again!
Perfect little (and I mean LITTLE!) room - everything you need except space. Very clean and recently refurbished I would guess. Lots of well positioned sockets. Real coffee in the lobby. Commercial, but it all works fine for a quick stay (not much reason to stay in Ena other than a pit stop). Supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacy all within easy walk, and also the Hiroshige Museum just 750m away. Bit of a dearth of accessible restaurants for foreigners in Ena - we ended up buying sushi in Valor supermarket and eating in the room. Only later did we discover there are 2 restaurants in the hotel! Small silly thing - front desk asks you to leave key cards at reception when going out!
Reasonable hotel with caring staff but let down by the western style beds which by our western standards felt like sleeping on concrete. Not good for a bad back. Even the Japanese futons were more comfortable than this.
