"Unfortunately I wouldn't stay here again. The entire place is a bit dingy and odors linger, the bathroom/bedroom layout is awkward and made opening and storing suitcases difficult, and the breakfast was mediocre and always closed early. The location was convenient for getting in/out San Francisco and we appreciated the number of close restaurants and shopping. "

"To start off the hotel was good, but I was devastated by a situation that occurred where I was locked out of my room for some odd reason and if the staff in front was not available,(mind you this was after I had came back after a night out where I went to a concert. "Parts of Emeryville may be a little iffy and it seems true for the outskirts of where this hotel is located. However, they take precautions to help provide peace of mind and safeguard their guests’ safety, which u super appreciate - security guard patrolling the parking lot at night and access to the elevator with a hotel key cards. While the outside might look a bit worn, don’t judge a book by its cover. The interior of this hotel has been renovated and is in great shape. Staff is attentive...

"Clean room. Quiet. Very good breakfast selections and coffee available 24 hours. Good location for getting on freeway to Bay Bridge to San Francisco. Lots of eating options nearby. Lovely place to walk just a couple miles west at Marina park, with walking paths and views across the bay to San Francisco. Staff are always friendly and helpful. We have stayed here often and will be back on next visit to area. BART is within walking distance."

Neighborhood has small shops and restaurants. There is a bus stop steps away and bus #51B takes you straight to UC Berkeley’s historic entrance; avoid the parking headaches. We will return to this hotel. Thank you. "

"This little gem has become my home away from home in Oakland. It has everything you could want in a city that already has everything—great food, cool bars, amazing music, plenty to do, etc. It's all brand new in a renovated space. The rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are sparkling, and the service is impeccable. There's a rooftop courtyard, a game room, and good eats and drinks right next door. It's more comfortable than anywhere else in the Bay Area, and just as accessible. Well...

"My daughter and I have stayed at this hotel three times in the past year and a half due to water polo tournaments being held at U.C. Berkeley. We chose it originally due to the easy walking distance to Cal, but we grew to love the friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms and welcoming atmosphere. The decor is very nice. The food that we ordered through room service was very good. "

"I came to check in, a dude at the reception was talking to his friend on the phone in the office, waited for him for 20 minutes, he started to register me and it turned out that I needed a deposit of $50 and payment only from a physical card, I had access only to Apple Pay, they don't accept it like that, while I was figuring out how to pay the deposit at the reception a lady came and started smoking right there 😂 in general, a very suspicious place and area"
